Missing patch for RODC user preloading
Hi, I've stumbled upon this message: https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2013-November/096322.html Which includes a patch to make user preloading in a RODC actually work. I'm running SerNet Samba packages, version 4.1.11, and this patch has not been applied. Is it blocked for some reason? Thanks in advance, -- Roberto Su?rez Soto Allenta Consulting

Replication issues / local DRS authentication failure
Hello, I've having recurring issues with the second DC in my Samba AD domain. I've demoted/removed the second DC a number of times and re-provisioned it. It'll work for a bit and then replication breaks. Since replication is broken I've been doing the following to remove it: DC-02 systemctl stop samba systemctl disable samba DC-01 samba-tool domain demote

What for OS is the server and windows clients? The VPN tunnel, are you lowering MTU sizes? Something like: -A FORWARD -m policy --pol ipsec --dir in -s 192.168.0.0/24 -o eth1 -p tcp -m tcp --tcp-flags SYN,RST SYN -m tcpmss --mss 1361:1536 -j TCPMSS --set-mss 1360 On the client PC's, have you checkout the windows firewall and are you allowing the remote subnets. The samba server on the

no DNS functionality on second subnet
Hi, we have successfully installed our samba4 AD domain with AD DC, smb file server and Windows/Linux clients in the same subnet. Now we try to add a couple of Windows PCs to the domain that are located in a different subnet. As soon as the AD DC is added as the DNS server on the Windows clients it is no longer possible to resolve ip addresses. In other words, for those PCs DNS is not working.

[LLVMdev] could we enable FileArchive preload later ?
It looks like there are errors in the buildbot runs with std::future_error when executing lot of tests, probably we can disable it for now to make the buildbot clean ? http://lab.llvm.org:8011/builders/llvm-clang-lld-x86_64-ubuntu-13.04/builds/26755/steps/test/logs/stdio has more information. It's pretty weird -- I can't reproduce this on my machine. Can you? I can only speculate a cause. But I'll try to disable the feature to see if buildbot will get back to green. Preload error
When I open any wine session I get the following message in the console: ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded: ignored. Is this significant? The 3-4 apps I have installed seem to work (with a few hiccups during installation) but I have no idea of what this error message implies.

I've just posted the patch across to the dev list. I'll post it here if anyone asks for it, but didn't want to initially, lest the crossposting gods strike me down from above :) James

Should Samba-tool RODC preload be run periodically?
Hello Andrew, thank you for the answer. 1) User credentials need to be preloaded with samba-tool to be automatically replicated later if they change, its correct? 2) And if user try to login on RODC without preloaded credentials, this credentials will not be cached? (as described in samba wiki) We using Samba 4.7.3 for RODC. Thanks Am 28.11.2017 um 19:55 schrieb Andrew Bartlett: > On

Should Samba-tool RODC preload be run periodically?
Hello list, I run “samba-tool rodc preload” for multiple users. If one of this users change his password, should I repeat the preload call? (I suppose yes, I need to rerun) If I need to rerun samba-tool, can user login with his old password till its expire? (I suppose yes?) Thank you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
