samba nad ldap
Hi everyone! I have (i think) a fully functional tls enabled samba ldap server. I used the documenation on www.idealx.org. I can make users and computers with smbldap-tools but i can't add Windows computers to the domain in the client end. smbldap-useradd -w w-eddie ldapsearch -x generates among other things: # w-eddie$, Computers, dbb.su.se dn:

Help with Dates
R I am taking an excel dataset and reading it into R using read.table. (actually I am dumping the data into a .txt file first and then reading data in to R). Samba 4.0.3 on CentOS 6.3 as PDC.
Any help here? I have included all of the output of the suggested diags that Thomas said I should run, but I admit that I'm not sure what I'm looking for, as I'm not familiar with RPC functionality on Linux. Something is not working with RPC on my Samba 4.0.3 server. (FWIW, it doesn't work with IPTables stopped either.) > On Mon, Feb 25, 2013 at 2:21 PM, Mike Stroven wrote:

Dovecot 1.1.11 segfaults on auth configuration error
Hi, i have compiled & packaged Dovecot 1.1.11 on Solaris 8 x86 with Sun Studio 11 and installed the result on Solaris 10 x86 zone. When i now configure auth mechanisms other than "login" or "plain" while only providing pam as the passdb, Dovecot segfaults on startup. I know that my configuration is wrong here, but i guess this still qualifies as a bug. Remedy would be

can't disable tcp6 on centos 7
hey all, I tried disabling tcp v6 on a C7 box this way: [root at puppet:~] #cat /etc/sysctl.conf # System default settings live in /usr/lib/sysctl.d/00-system.conf. # To override those settings, enter new settings here, or in an /etc/sysctl.d/<name>.conf file # # For more information, see sysctl.conf(5) and sysctl.d(5). net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1 net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6

Installing cdr_pgsql on asterisk 1.6.0.26
Hi folks, I am struggling to install cdr_pgsql in asterisk 1.6.0.26. When I do the ./configure, it complains about the function PQescapeStringConn not existing in -lpq, so when I do a make menuconfig, I can't select the cdr_pgsql module. I am using CentOS 5.4 with the yum PGDG repository for 8.4 version. Some of the installed packages are postgresql-libs, compat-postgresql-libs,

Could not complete SSL handshake to Amazon EC2 host
Hello, I am trying to monitor a host in the Amazon EC2 cloud. Yet when I try to check NRPE from the monitoring host I am getting an SSL handshake error: [root at monitor1:~] #/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H ops.jokefire.com CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake. And if I telnet into the host on port 5666 to see if the FW port is open, the connection closes right away:

Could not complete SSL handshake to Amazon EC2 host
Hi Eric, Thanks for your reply. I do have nrpe running under xinetd on the host I'm trying to monitor. And running the nrpe checl locally: [root at ops:~] #/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost NRPE v2.15 [root at ops:~] #grep only_from /etc/xinetd.d/nrpe only_from = 127.0.0.1 216.120.248.126 And I do have port 5666 open on the security group for this host.

Could not complete SSL handshake to Amazon EC2 host
Oh my mistake. I mean nrpe without parameters. It should say something about SSL/TLS aktiv or so. You could test nrpe without SSL. Use nrpe -n - H host Am 01.05.2015 13:18 schrieb "Eero Volotinen" <eero.volotinen at iki.fi>: > well. how about trying default setting and running nrped without xinetd. > > -- > Eero > > 2015-05-01 14:14 GMT+03:00 Tim Dunphy

cluster suite & gfs problem since update
I have a cluster that has been operational for some time and functioning flawlessly until a recent yum update. The last unflawed working kernel was 2.6.9-55.0.12.ELsmp. The current kernel is 2.6.9-67ELsmp. The problem appears to be some type of infinite recovery loop of sorts. It runs find for a few minutes, then the service restarts itself. What I am seeing in /var/log/messages is: Jan 3

Hi NRPE: Error receiving data from daemon Seems as this is not a SSL Problem. Do you have a nagios user account? subset() missing one factor
The data set (called 'chemdata') has 6 columns (4 factors, 1 date, 1 numeric) and I need to create subsets for each of one of the factors ('stream'). This has worked flawlessly for all but two streams which were created yesterday. The command I use to create the subsets is like this: > rnchH <- subset(chemdata, stream == 'RanchSpgsH', select = c(site, sampdate,

can't disable tcp6 on centos 7
Tim, where did you installed this nrpe package? is selinux running enforcing mode (getenforce command), try disabling with setenforce 0. why you are running it under xinetd as usual way is to run it as nrped daemon. test against with check_nrpe, not using telnet. -- Eero 2015-05-04 2:27 GMT+03:00 Stephen Harris <lists at spuddy.org>: > On Sun, May 03, 2015 at 07:23:19PM -0400, Tim

Should there be a process listening on port 135?
I'm running samba 4.1.2 on Linux Mint 15. Getting the following: ? ./samba-tool drs kcc samba-realm Failed to connect host 192.168.231.132 on port 135 - NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED Failed to connect host 192.168.231.132 (samba-realm) on port 135 - NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED.
