Stopping putgoing calls after working hours
Dear All, I am trying to find a way to stop people who use phones after business hours (a policy the company wants to implement), we have cisco 7940 and 7910 phones and sadly they don't have a phone lock password system (on these ciscos it locks config menu changes but not the calls but the cisco 7920 has this feauture). So I was wondering is there a way to make this happen in asterisk??

network disconnection after several hours
I will check with firewall-cmd. Regarding hardware problem I have doubt as we use VMWare (but I keep in a corner of my mind). At this moment, we have compiled kernel and have installed it and have tried 4 restore passed. We need to do more tests and understand why 4 restores passed. Roaming Profiles not updating.
I'm finding our employees' roaming profiles are not being updated. They were initially created correctly, they copy down onto a new machine, but updates are not put back onto the server. I've also noticed that smbstatus does not show any open dat files, such as ntuser.dat. I would have assumed that these files would have been held open while the client was connected. Employees can

Partially transferred files keep locked for a while after client disconnected ungracefully
Hi Experts, When copying a big file from Windows to a Samba share working with the normal TDB mode rather than CTDB mode, the Windows client disconnected from the network ungracefully such as cable unplugging or network disabling. Then, try to delete the partial transferred file from another client, we will be prompted that another program is using this file. The lock can be easily observed by

Samba 4 DC - File locking problems when a client crashes
We are using Samba 4.1.4 as a standalone domain controller for 50 Windows 7 Clients. If a client crashes or the user hasn't shutdown his computer correctly, smbstatus shows still many open files from this user. (like desktop shotcuts, firefox profile and so on.) When this user starts his computer again, Windows can't access these files anymore, all desktop shutcuts are missing and Firefox

Its working for now, but the part with the home-share (just a simple share for profiles etc.) is not working. I cant even browse with the administrator at domain

Beginers Help - Hardware selection
I am new to Asterisk. I am trying to ascertain the hardware setup (and associated cost) I would need. The documentation in the wiki (and elsewhere) is extensive but I am somewhat lost in product model numbers. Hence I need an initial recommandation to work on. 15 incoming lines, 25 employees). Initial scenario is to use * as a plain old PBX. I need voicemail, ability to transfer calls, ... I

samba server maxing out cpu, load up to 10
This is samba 3.0.23c running on RHEL 5.0. Starting a few months ago, the server started periodically slowing to a crawl. The cpu would be maxed out and top would show the load between 5 and 10 (it's usually way under 1, like 0.3 to 0.5). Any way to figure out what is causing this? This is a 3.2 ghz P4 and a 'pgrep smbd' returns 141 processes. We only have about 300 users who

Problems with TDBs on CTDB-managed Samba instance
Hi All, My site has two separate clustered Samba instances (managed by two independent CTDB instances) running over GPFS. In the last couple of weeks, we have seen a recurring issue that causes the `smbd` process in *one* of these instances to become unresponsive (as seen by CTDB), which results in flapping of CTDB and multiple IP takeover runs. The symptoms that we observe are: 1) Samba
