rasberry pi
ok, that's really all I need to know. Of course, if anyone else wants to
throw in their two cents, don't let me stop you :)

One way calling on asterisk to cisco call manager integration
I'm trying to integrate my Asterisk box with my call manager 8 server. I can call from the call manager to a phone on asterisk, but I can't call from a phone on asterisk to call manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

rasberry pi
I'm debating between a cloud PBX or, perhaps, rasberry pi. For a SOHO,
maybe three hardphones, rasberry pi would suffice? I would be amazed, but,
if so, great.
thanks,

Extensions.conf error - 'Maximum Include level (10) exceeded'
Can someone tell me why the following from extensions.conf generates this error on asterisk load?
Jan 13 09:27:24 WARNING[31701]: config.c:938 ast_config_internal_load: Maximum Include level (10) exceeded
As far as I can tell I don't have a DEPTH of 10 includes. I certainly have more than 10 include statements, but I don't have them drilled down to a depth of 10. I'm thinking the

Mapping CLI'S in Dialplan
Hi All
I am not sure what I wish to do it possible but I would like to see if you
guys know any better.
I have a site who has the extensions: 1231, 1232. 1233, 1234
Each of these users can dial each other on the extension number an also has
an external CLI mapped to them.
On all internal calls or calls to services such as call forwarding their

TLS/TCP behind NAT; Signaling issues with offnet phones
Issue is what subject says. Here is the background.
Version: 11.11.0
Topology: Asterisk Box at our Data Center behind Cisco Firewall.
Everything works fine from remote offices over a VPN. Issue is sales team
would like to connect up to our Asterisk box remotely (offnet). Common
enough solution, I'm guessing.
So, I've opened all the correct holes on the firewall and hammered out

Extensions.conf error - 'Maximum Include level(10) exceeded'
Oh Nooooooo!
It looks as if there is a limit of 9 (not 10) maximum #include statments that you can have in extensions.conf. For example, the following extensions.conf causes the error to appear..
[user_3250071]
#include "inc/wildwildwest/features.conf"
#include "inc/wildwildwest/features.conf"
#include "inc/wildwildwest/features.conf"

Extensions.conf error - 'MaximumInclude level(10) exceeded'
I don't follow. Are you saying there's a limit of 10 contexts within extensions.conf?
If, on the other hand, your saying that each context can only have 10 #include statements, I tried that too. See below. I put 12 #include's across two contexts, and still got the same error,
I not sure that goto's are much of a solution, but I'll have to proof it.
And that's my

PowerShield Defender 1200VA
Hi,
Sometime ago I asked the question about getting nut to run on my iMac as
I was having trouble getting the USB driver to behave with OS X. The
same driver under LINUX is fine. It was suggested that the better option
might be to run nut on a Rasberry PI instead and monitor the nut daemon
from the iMac.
Well I have bought a Rasberry PI, I have other things planned for it. I
have installed nut

What small device do you have in mind? The smallest device I could
possibly imagine *encoding* FLAC on is Rasberry Pi which has 512Meg
of RAM.
If you really are concerned about this (and knowing that it has little

RasPi 3.x and RH-based Distro (Slightly OT)
With the release of the Rasberry Pi 3.x, I think we have a platform I could
jump on board with. Performance has just been lacking until now!
But I really don't want to jump the "RH ship" - I'd rather stick with an
environment I am comfortable in.
Can anybody comment here on the best way to run RHEL/Fedora/CentOS on a RasPi,
or if there's even a useful port?
Thanks

Anonymous Samba share across subnets (without WINS?)
I'm trying to replace an old Windows 2000 server that is current set up with a number of open anonymous shares used by a legacy application that must remain in production for a few more years. I spent a few hours trying to create anonymous shares on a 2008 R2 box but gave up. My next idea was to use Samba to create an anonymous share, and following this quick-n-dirty HowTo:

Stuck. Extenions.conf? Realtime? MySQL? Grrrrr!
Boy, am I stuck...
I'm officially ready to toss Asterisk out the window. I have to admit it isn't necessarily all the fault of Asterisk either. It just seems that every option I turn to suddenly ends in failure. I don't know if it's me that's bitten of more than I can chew with this project, or maybe Asterisk just isn't mature enough yet.
Nothing complicated really....

asterisk for g729 to g711
Hi,
Does anyone know if Asterisk is a good tool to be used for a large quantity
of g711 and g729 transcoding?
What is the best alternative for that?

Asterisk Sends 180-RINGINGto UAeven withprogressinband=yes
Hmmm. Ok, that's true. At the very least it will create confusing CDR's I think... maybe. We're not billing our OnNet traffic at all. Only the traffic that goes OffNet, to our switch is billed (if it leaves our switch that is...).
I was thinking earlier too that we only need progressinband on traffic that goes to the PSTN, via our switch. OnNet traffic will never generate reorder

This may be a tad O.T., but I have to ask somebody. In compiling WRF
model, everything seems to build but at runtime, I get this error message:

There appears to be something missing from the library, but not being
smart enough to know what each one provides, nor know
