*-{up,down} env vars
hi! yesterday i was adding "hooks" to librevpn's tools[0] and while
debugging[1] why tinc would say the scripts exited with non zero status,
i noticed the PWD wasn't set to what i expected (PWD=/ instead of
PWD=/etc/tinc/$NETNAME). the hooks/scripts dir is in scripts/ so
running scripts/$event-* would fail because it'd look for them in
/scripts/$event-*...

replication fails and corrupts index with zlib enabled
Hi, I have two Debian Jessie servers with Dovecot 2.2.13 TCP replication
on that have worked fine for years, but now one of them is running low
on disk space, so I wanted to try enabling zlib.
I crafted a script following the description given in
https://wiki.dovecot.org/Plugins/Zlib and xz'ed some inboxes on the
stand-by server, the one with low disk space. So every email in those
inboxes

1.6 cheatsheet
Hey has anyone seen a 1.6 cheatsheet around?
Johnathan Snook did a nice 1.5 one but I''ve been working with 1.6 for a
while and while I can use prototypejs.org, cheatsheets are handy for jogging
memories..
I checked his blog, nothing there for 1.6.

Shockwave - any progress?
I have achieved much of what I wanted to achieve using Wine, with one
exception. I was hoping to be able to use Shockwave content, but despite
installing Firefox and the Shockwave plugin, it does not work - it seems
to stop after the promotional film before the actual requested content.
I know there are "pay" solutions to this problem, but was wondering if
anyone had found a free

Programming: loop versus vector oriented
Dear all,
I am new to R and to it's programming philosophy. The following function
is supposed to work on a vector, but I can't figure out how to do that
without looping through every element of it. Is there a more elegant
way?
Note: I have shortened it, so it is NOT correct from the pipe hydraulics
point of view

Version Info
Hello,
We are trying to verify the status of the SMACK api which bundles Speex into its binary download archive (version 3.4.1). Unfortunately, the Speex.jar does not contain any version information which makes it very difficult to determine which version of the source code to check for acceptance with our coporate policies. If you could please let me know how to determine the version for the

Hi,
I configured puppet open source with the chocolatey module and one windows

When the puppet agent run as a service (not the interactive version) I can
see in the windows event log some errors like
Fault bucket 1734820220, type 5
Event name: PowerShell
Fault bucket , type 0
Event name: PowerShell
I tried to google it but I did not find anything relevant apart from some

Regarding Savitzky-Golay Smoothing Filter
Hi
When we use the sav_gol command in R , it shows an error which says: "
error in as.matrix". We've downloaded the necessary packages. Kindly
help us with this issue. If there is any other function to perform
Savitzky-Golay smoothing in R, please let me know.

Feature request: add information to error message: client doesn't have lookup permissions for this user: userdb reply doesn't contain uid (change userdb socket permissions)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Please add the information to this error, which socket has the problem and
which uid access is and what is expected.
For instance, when the quota dict request fails, because of permission
problems, you get a very detailed info about the current problem. And,
further more, hints to solve it.
BTW: I'm trying to configure shared mailboxes for a

Connection refused userdb lookup ..dovecot/auth-userdb
Hi There,
Ive taken a look at this and cant quite figure out what is going on here. I have tested all the SQL permissions, and also changed the unix_listener auth-userdb mode to 0666 (as instructed elsewhere to try and solve this issue), but cannot seem to work out what the issue is.
Would someone be able to please point me in the correct direction here?
