I have a long running webserver, runs a bunch of mostly php+postgresql stuff, mostly hobby sites (clubs and local scout troops and such). has latest updates to php 5.2.10-xx but I want to install something thats insisting on php53. If I try and yum install php53, it says it conflicts with php-5.2.10 ... ok, do I remove the old PHP and install

Upgrading PHP and PHP53 on CentOS5 - Progress/Problem w/ Squirrelmail
Greetings In the attempt to upgrade the technology stack on CentOS 5 from stock PHP to PHP53 I have made some progress. Much thanks to all respondents, especially Jesus. One repository that provides a complete set of builds and seems to fulfill both PHP and PHP53 requirements is the IUS one: http://iuscommunity.org/ Repos here: http://dl.iuscommunity.org/pub/ius/stable/Redhat/5/i386/repoview/

PHP 5.3: IUS vs CentOS repos
I need to upgrade PHP because the latest WordPress requires one at least at 5.2.4. What are the tradeoffs of using the php53 packages provided by CentOS versus IUS? I've seen that installing the RHEL-derived php53 requires removing php first and it creates package conflicts because it doesn't provide a virtual php-common package. That suggests I should install the IUS package. Is

php53 and eacclerator
Hi. There does not seem to be a php53-eaccelerator in standard Centos yum channels, from what I can see. That is a mainstay for us. Has anyone found that any particular php53-eacclerator from other locations play well with it? Thanks. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

php53 and MSSQL
[Reposted now I've joined the list, so I hopefully don't get moderated out] Hi, I've upgraded lots of machines to 5.6 (thanks!) and there was one particular machine that I'd also like to upgrade to PHP 5.3. Unfortunately it seems I can't. On the machine I have php-mssql installed, and it appears that there is no php53-mssql. php-mssql is built from the php-extras SRPM, so

IUS not pulling latest PHP packages
Hi, I am running CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009 (Core) and have enabled both epel and ius repository - ius-release-2-1.el7.ius.noarch - epel-release-7-14.noarch IUS not pulling the latest PHP packages. I have ran yum clean metadata and yum clean all commands but no luck. The latest version is *7.4.33* # php -v PHP 7.4.30 (cli) (built: Jun 10 2022 16:22:42) ( NTS ) Copyright (c) The PHP

IUS not pulling latest PHP packages
Hello, looking at the metadata for EPEL and IUS, neither seem to carry PHP 7.4. It is EOL anyway, so you should migrate to PHP 8. To find out where your current PHP comes from try something like: # rpm -qf /usr/bin/php # rpm -qi php I would recommend you switch to Remi's repo and upgrade to PHP 8: https://rpms.remirepo.net/ Kind regards, Steve Am 26.05.2023 12:50, schrieb Kaushal

Anyone using PHP52 packages from iuscommunity.org?
Hi, I need to use PHP 5.2 in my Centos 5.X servers. I've been using the one found in Testing for more than a year without problems but I feel that it is not being updated in a while, specially with the security issues. I found a post about this iuscommunity.org which maintains 5.2 and 5.3 rpm packages for Centos/RedHat but I'd like to know if anyone in this is using the 5.2 packages in

CentOS 5.5 php configure errors
I am attempting to install odbtp on my newly created lamp server running CentOS 5.5 and php 5.2.17. The odbtp compile failed looking for lots of zend related files supposedly in the php install dir. I learned from the odbtp project forum that I need to run configure in the php source directory. So I downloaded the php 5.2.17 source and ran ./configure and got these results: root at myserver

Running MacOSX as VM under CentOS 5.10?
Is it even remotely possible to run MacOSX (or Darwin) as VM under CentOS 5.10 / xen? Or am I better off not even trying and just getting a MacMini or MacBook to just jack into my LAN? I just need a 'build box' and possibly something to do light testing (eg does the program run? Does the GUI come up?). I don't really have the *physical* room for an iMac, unless the screen is tiny.

PHP 7.3 and IUS repo
Does anyone know if PHP 7.3 is coming to the IUS repo soon? I'd rather upgrade from 7.2 than tear out IUS and replace with Remi. -- -- Steve

PHP version dilemma
I am running Centos 5.8; at least uname -rmi gives me centos-release-5-8.el5.centos A CMS package is telling me that I need PHP 5.2x, however yum update says that I am fully up to date. Is there a "safe" way to upgrade PHP to 5.2x? Todd -- Ariste Software Bend, OR 97702 http://www.aristesoftware.com

user/password Authentication via Joomla database
Hi, I think there is no reason to be offlist. Your setup should work, only problem could be the freebsd userid. My setup has only one user for all accounts and no "real" users. I only have a vmail user. Maybe a tutorial for dovecot and mysql only would help you ( I don't have a link here, but google has) hope that helps Harald Am 06.07.2018 um 15:18 schrieb Graham S. xulrunner 1.9.2.26 available in repackaged form for use with legacy programs
I have re-packaged xulrunner 1.9.2.26 for CentOS 5 for use with older applications which can't be run with xulrunner 10.0.4. I created 'compatibity' RPMs that can be safely installed alongside xulrunner 10.0.4. I needed it to run the Evergreen 2.1 and 2.2 Staff Clients at our local library. The RPMs are available in the Deepwoods Software repo at the URL:
