Can't get Grub work on clone of machine
Hi. I have cloned a RHEL 5.6 physical server over to a ESXi 5.0 Virtual Machine. Using a live CD on the new Virtual Machine I created 3 partition /boot (/dev/sda1), / (/dev/sda2) and swap (/dev/sda3), I then mounted the / (sda2) partition and created the /boot directory and mount the boot partition partition /dev/sda1 into /boot. SATA RAID Controller Support?
Greetings, I just got new Dell PowerEdge SC1420 and a 6 channel SATA RAID controller card (Adaptec 2610SA from Dell also) When I attempt to install CentOS 4.2, it doesnt find the RAID 1 mirror I set up. (2 X 160Gig drives) It doesnt find any hard drives at all. Does anyone have anything to suggest here? Thanks Ryan

samba on intel nas box and windows share browsing hanging
Hi I have a intel S400-e nas box, that runs the Linux / samba, as supplied with the latest updates form Intel.. When browsing the folders in a share, explorer will hang, sometime recover other wise some just hang in glorious windows fashion .. so i ran wire shark to see what the network traffic looked like, because both the nas box and the windows box logs didn't show any logical reason for
