mediawiki-1.4.7-1.2.el4.rf.i386.rpm requirements.
Guys,
I'm migrating an internal Mediawiki over to a new CentOS 4 system. The
old server's running FC3 and has a tarball install, ideally I want to
stick to properly packaged software as far as possible.

Greetings,
Has anyone installed digikam-4.0 with yum on CentOS 7?
On my CentOS 7 machine "yum install digikam" fails. Apparently "kio_mtp"

courier-imap to dovecot-imap migration: missing TLS_TRUSTCERTS feature
Hi,
I'm attempting an one-to-one migration from courier-imap to dovecot-imap.
current state:
Imap-server has a self signed certificate
Every client/user has a self signed client certificate that is used for
SSL/TLS client authentication.
All certificates are self signed "standalone" cerfificates - no CA
hierarchy/structure is made.
With courier-imap we could just put every

C7: EPEL conflicts with Base and ElRepo?
Hi everyone,
This just came to my attention --- I have CentOS 7 installed on one
machine, and have configured elrepo and epel as additional
repositories. When I turned on the yum-priorities package (and set up
priorities in the order base&updates < elrepo < epel), it turns out
that there are 65 conflicting packages between base and epel, and
additional 5 between elrepo and epel (there

samba 4.12 build on hp-ux unsupported system calls
Hi Team,
We are having compile/linking time warning due unsatisfied system calls and macros.
We have checked and confirm that these are not supported by hp-ux kernel and enabling them will require changes in VFS layer and physical filesystem.

configure can't find ldap_initialize on HP-UX 11i
I'm basically using the instructions found in the HP-UX readme with the
exception that I am trying to use the version of openldap that is in
iexpress instead of the one from hpux.cs.utah.edu.
The recommendations listed in the doc are:
HP-UX 11.00 and 11.11:
OpenLdap 2.1.3 (http://hpux.cs.utah.edu)
OpenSSL 0.9.7d (http://hpux.cs.utah.edu)

Depsolving errors whilst upgrading Centos 5.6 -> 5.7
I have a dedicated server from 1&1 (http://1and1.co.uk/). A 'yum list
updates' today showed me that the 5.7 update was available (it's
probably been there for a while, I don't check that often).
But running 'yum update' gives the following error:

r-cran-rgdal: dependency on libgdal1 unsatisfied in ubuntu 12.04?
Hi
I am trying to install the rgdal package through r-cran-rgdal (I had
added the ppa), and run into an error in Ubuntu 12.04:
r-cran-rgdal : D?pend: libgdal1 (>= 1.9.0) mais il n'est pas installable
in English, libgdal1 1.9 does not seem available in Ubuntu 12.04 (I
think version 1.7) comes.
And indeed, a:
$sudo apt-get install libgdal1
Gives also an error message, saying libgdal1

ntfs support
I should think this is quite a basic question but what I have tried so
far hasn't worked. I have centos altarch 7 and I want to mount an ntfs
volume.
(I am beginning to suspect it is not available for 32 bit so I will need
to get the source and compile?)
?These commands I have tried:
yum --enablerepo=extras install epel-release
yum --enablerepo=extras
yum install epel-release

Subsetting a data.frame degenerates at one column?
Greetings.
At the moment, I'm applying R to some AIX 'nmon' output, trying to get
a handle on some disk performance metrics. In case anyone's
interested:
http://docs.osg.ufl.edu/tsm/pdf/
some of them are more edifying than others. (ahem)
I'm trying to develop a somewhat general framework for plotting these
measures, in the hopes that it's of some use to people other
