DOM events not firing in IE6 with floated divs
Hi All Not strictly Scriptaculous but I came across this whilst trying to implement some Scriptaculous code. I am hoping some XHTML guru out there might be able to shed some light. If you load up the attached file in IE6, you''ll see the events only fire in the middle section of the title bar when your over the border ! - FF1.5 is fine.. Any thoughts / comments appreciated.. Cheers

Patch idea: an environment variable for setting the user ID
To R-devel, In `R CMD build`, the ID of the user is automatically inserted into the DESCRIPTION file, e.g. Packaged: 2018-11-06 14:01:50 UTC; <MY USER ID> This is problematic for those of us who work in corporate settings. We must not divulge our user IDs in the packages we develop and release. Jim Hester pointed out that these two lines in `add_build_stamp_to_description_file()`

Preventing bubble
I''m trying to prevent double ajax requests when I have nested onclick handlers. I have a table with clickable column headings (for sorting by that column). I have onclick handlers on both the <th> and the <a> link so that clicking anywhere on the table heading should work. <th onclick="window.location.href=''http://foo?sort=foo'';">

non-bubbling mouseover/mouseout
First, I have only played with Prototype for about a month, so I don''t know it well. Second, I am more of a server-side programmer than a client-side programmer. In my page, I have a div that appears as a result of a link mouseover event. This div is nested within another div that houses everything (id = ''menuContainer''). I want the resulting div (which is a submenu)

Patch idea: an environment variable for setting the user ID
Thanks, Kurt. I think I now have enough time to write a patch. What are the steps? I have read https://www.r-project.org/bugs.html#how-to-submit-patches but I do not seem to have permission to create a Bugzilla account at https://bugs.r-project.org/bugzilla/. Rendering a view from a model
Hi peoples. I have the following class method in a Rails model, in which I retrieve some objects from the DB... @bubbles = Bubble.find(:all, :limit => 30) # What is the limit? open( "public/xml_data/main_data_feed.xml", "w" ) { | l | l.write ERB.new( IO.read( File.join( RAILS_ROOT, "app/views/rssfeed/bubbles.rhtml" ) ) ).result } When I attempt to run this

Prototype event models and Internet Explorer
Hi, I was just reading an article that talked about the problems with Microsoft''s event registration and handling. >From http://www.quirksmode.org/js/events_advanced.html 1. Events always bubble, no capturing possibility. 2. The event handling function is referenced, not copied, so the this keyword always refers to the window and is completely useless. I was wondering if the

Bubble plots
Is there a way to create a 'bubble plot' in R? For example, if we define the following data frame containing the level of y observed for 5 patients at three time points: time<-c(rep('time 1',5),rep('time 2',5),rep('time 3',5))

Bubble Plot with Pie Charts
Hi there! I have seen that someone had this question some years before, but there was only a rough answer to it and I was wondering if actually someone was able to accomplish it or maybe even wrote a function... How do you make a bubble plot where you have pie charts instead of bubbles? I have a geographic map and need to plot attribute-sized pie charts representing a second attribute at

bubble.plot() - standardize size of unit circle
Hello, I wrote a wrapper for symbols() that produces a bivariate bubble plot, for use when plot(x,y) hides multiple occurrences of the same x,y combination (e.g. if x,y are integers). Circle area ~ counts per bin, and circle size is controlled by 'scale'. Question: how can I automatically make the smallest circle the same size as a standard plot character, rather than having to

bubble(circle) plot help.
I need help creating a bubbleplot, like a simple pseudo three dimensional scatterplot of circles whose sizes index a 3rd variable. I initially came across this at http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/graphcode.php?graph=73 but the circleplot function does not exist in fbasic as listed in the document. _________________________________________________________________

Why is bubbles() creating empty png graphs?
This code below produces empty XXX.png files - if I use plot(), it works and if I enter the commands png(filename=fn) bubble(positions, do.sqrt=FALSE, main=q) dev.off() manually, it works as well. I am lost - any help appreciated. The weird thing is that it worked before I made some changes... (I don't have a copy of the working version...). R version: platform i686-pc-linux-gnu arch

bubble plots
Dear all, I'm used to draw bubble plots (gstat) to get a first view of my spatial marked data, but I can't find a way to label legend with marks after having replaced them by a numeric scale. I have a data frame with numeric coords and factors: > names(data) [1] "x" "y" "bloc" "sub" "inoc"

[LLVMdev] SPARC JIT?
Greetings, I've been using LLVM and Clang for a while now, primarily targeting x86 and ARM. Recently, I read the list of open LLVM projects, one of them being "Add JIT support to the SPARC port." Looking further, I saw a May 2010 post from Chris Lattner [2], which basically stated that a future-proof implementation should use LLVM-MC. Is anybody currently working on this project?

Way OT: Anyone know where to get data on relationship between education and salary
I'm sorry for the way OT post, but here goes. I'm an informatics specialist, and R user. My wife is a secondary school maths teacher. My wife recently tried to explain to her class the link between education and potential salary, and I would love to be able to show this graphically, however, I cannot find any freely available data for this. Does anyone know of a suitable dataset,

Install Applications via Logon Scripts?
Is there a way to install a windows (XP) application via a logon script? I'm not sure how to do it because most applications will require interaction (next, next, next and etc). Has anyone figured out a way to 'push out' programs via logon script or something else relating to a Samba domain?
