how to use # in a rd doc in url address
I am writing a rd doc, and need to use "#" in a url adress. This would make: \url{http://www.xxxx.org/myfolder/#myanchor} Of course, I suppose this will not work because # is a special character starting a comment line in the rd dialect. I did not found a similar example in "Writing R exentions". I am not sure bout using \dQuote{a quotation}), and use \sQuote and \dQuote

Errno::ENOENT (No such file or directory
Hi, I have my RoR deployed on Linux server. My application has "browse file" section where it selects the file from users machine (e.g. - D:/kw/loaddata/New/abc.txt) and passes it to convertTo method But the path is not being resolved. It throws me an error: Errno::ENOENT (No such file or directory - D:/kw/loaddata/New/abc.txt): .//app/controllers/releases_controller.rb:35:in

returning NULL from .Call call
Dear R developers, I've just encountered one "feature" of R-C extensions. If it is known, I would be thankful for any hints why it works this way (I found the way around, which is also mentioned here, but maybe it is not the best one). If it is however unknown, it might be considered for a "wish list". Consider a simple "aka" C function (the original

Error for compiling Rquantlib package 0.3.5 under Window 7 64bits
Hi, I am trying to build a binary of Rquantlib package 0.3.5 under Window 7 64bits. I am using mingw gcc version 4.5.1 (tdm64-1) which is a experimental version of 64 bits ming gcc. (http://tdm-gcc.tdragon.net/). I have successfully compiled boost 1.45 and Quantlib 1.0.1 with this gcc. And then when I tried to compile Rquantlib 0.3.5, it reports some error. The first error is like below.

Memory leak using libflac++
Hi all, I'm the author of flactag, a utility for tagging whole-album FLAC files with embedded CUE sheets using data from the MusicBrainz servers. I've recently run it through valgrind, and I'm seeing memory leaks like the following: 12 bytes in 1 blocks are definitely lost in loss record 1 of 5 at 0x402377E: operator new(unsigned) (vg_replace_malloc.c:224) by 0x41448A8:

So i tried to used it to create a report with multiple plot: I create an odt file with some code inside: I connect to a mysql database I get a list of projects foreach project I would like to make a plot (a map exactly) then in a R console I use the odfweave (inFile, outFile) function.

odfWeave error
odfWeave is throwing up a cryptic error, after successfully processing a file with a large number of figures (~30) and many \Sexpr{} calls. The error is (at least to me) cryptic. I am not sure where to look to correct this problem. Here's the error: Post-processing the contents Error in .Call("RS_XML_Parse", file, handlers, endElementHandlers, as.logical(addContext), :

cleanWhitespace and parentNode
Hey cats, I seem to have ran into a problem in IE trying to use parentNode with the cleanWhitespace method. doing something like: var div = $(''mydiv''); Element.cleanWhitespace(div); works really great, but try doing: var div = $(''mydiv''); Element.cleanWhitespace(div.parentNode); or var div = $(''mydiv''); div = div.parentNode;

Multiple Ajax.Request or Ajax.Updater
I''m having a problem with multiple Ajax.Updater instances. I have five small chunks of data being loaded into my homepage, and they seem to be firing off one at a time. So the pieces load up in the order they were called. Maybe I''m being a noob, but shouldn''t all those requests just fire away and then place the content as it gets received? I was doing multiple versions,

Event.stopObserving and anonymous functions
Hi all, I'm using behaviour(.js) to add event handlers to all the table cells in a table (mouseover, mouseout, clickk). However, I'm also ditching the table and replacing it with an Ajax.Updater so I want to remove all the observers before I lose them. Unfortunately, the Event.observe calls were written as inline anonymous functions so, when calling Event.stopObserving, I'm supposed
