building rpms
Hello,
I've got a centos 4.4 box and i'd like to make some rpms for it. My
first task is to recompile an srpm removing some options to customize it. I
tried rpmbuild, which worked on a fedora install, but that command wasn't
available. What rpm do i have to install to make rpms? I've got rpmdb, rpm,
and rpm-libs already installed. I thought the missing one was rpm-utils,

connexion to internet is not so good, wget downloaded in three parts by

yumgroups.xml
Not sure if I'm overlooking this somehow but is there a yumgroups.xml
file for the [base] repository in CentOS 5? I've checked a few mirrors
and didn't see it and a `yum grouplist` with only the base, updates, and
extras repositories enabled looks like this:

Samba mount at Login?
Can someone tell me how to set up a mount to occur automatically on login?
I have one directory per user on a Win network and I'd like each user to get
his own directory mounted when he logs in. (Automounting on boot is ok,
too). This is on Caldera eDesktop 2.4 with Samba 2.0.6. I can find and
mount each directory just fine when logged in as root, but smbmount does not
do the job when

Dovecot git mirror
I've been working on Evolution's 'imapx' back end to support QRESYNC,
and was going to look at NOTIFY next. Then I realised I may have to look
at implementing it on the server side first.
Before I can even contemplate that, though, I had to mirror it into git.
I've always resisted the one-version-control-system-per-child craze, and
these days if I'm even contemplating a

[LLVMdev] Removing old JIT CodeEmitters for ARM and PPC
Sorry for speaking too soon. It is missing from 3.2 which is the version I have been using. If it is already implemented than it is very good news.
Thanks.

I'm experimenting with tinc 1.1 using ubuntu and I need to generate a .deb
package to be able to install latest 1.1pre14 version in ubuntu. I found
the .deb package for debian in the experimental repositories, but couldn't
find the same for ubuntu and wish to build the package myself.
I'm able to compile and install Tinc from sources on ubuntu, but never
