firewallchain issues w/ 1.0.0 release
Hi,
First, some software versions, just to get them out of the way:
- CentOS 5.x through Centos 6.2
- Ruby 1.8.5 - 1.8.7
- Puppet 2.7.19
- Facter 1.6.11
Just a note - we''re working from the EPEL repos almost exclusively.
I am working with the firewall module, and so far I am unable to use
firewallchain. Some digging suggests that it''s not completely user error
(though I

I don''t think you want this to always be high prio - that includes scp.

Clearly can''t be done if you have more http requests than your
bandwidth can handle.

Optional loading of firewall rules
I''m using puppetlabs/firewall with Puppet 2.7.2, and for the most part it''s
working great. I have this in my sites.pp, which I took from this list
sometime ago, to save firewall rules to disk when they''re changed:
# Always persist firewall rules

puppetlabs-firewall scope
Hello,
I can''t figure out how I can use the module puppetlabs-firewall only
for some targeted nodes.
If I put :
resources { "firewall": purge => true }
in top scope (i.e. site.pp),
then all the firewall rules on all my nodes are purged. Even for nodes
for which I don''t apply any module containing specific firewall { ...
} resources.
If I put it in a module

Hello;
Did you remember to uncomment the dateformat in
/etc/asterisk/logger.conf? That's necessary for fail2ban to work.
Logger.conf

fail2ban Asterisk 13.13.1
If this is a small site, I recommend you download the free version of SecAst
(www.telium.ca <http://www.telium.ca> ) and replace fail2ban. SecAst does
NOT use the log file, or regexes, to match etc.instead it talks to Asterisk
through the AMI to extract security information. Messing with regexes is a
losing battle, and the lag in reading logs can allow an attacker 100+

[PATCH 00/45] initial arm v8 (64-bit) support
First off, Apologies for the massive patch series...
This series boots a 32-bit dom0 kernel to a command prompt on an ARMv8
(AArch64) model. The kernel is the same one as I am currently using with
the 32 bit hypervisor
I haven''t yet tried starting a guest or anything super advanced like
that ;-). Also there is not real support for 64-bit domains at all,
although in one or two places I

puppetlabs-firewall stages and persistence
Hi all,
I''m attempting to use the puppetlabs-firewall module. In testing,
rules are enabled in a random order, so it seems necessary to utilize
puppet stages to guarantee proper ordering.
I created a module to organize my firewalling. It consists of
localfw::pre to open the INPUT chain for established and related
connections, localfw::default for most normal rules, and localfw::post

Reshape from long to wide format with date variable
Hi,
I need to reshape my dataframe from a long format to a wide format.
Unfortunately, I have a continuous date variable which gives me headaches.
Consider the following example:
> id=c("034","034","016","016","016","340","340")
> date=as.Date(c("1997-09-28", "1997-10-06", "1997-11-04",

[PATCH] xen: arm: Fixing ttbcr (TCR_EL1 for AArch64) size.
This patch fixes size of ttbcr register (TCR_EL1 in case of AArch64)
and it''s programming considering size in case of context switch.
Currently ttbcr is defined as 32b register but for AArch64 TCR_EL1
size is 64b.

Aarch64: unaligned access despite -mstrict-align
Hi,
I experienced a crash in code compiled with Clang 10.0.0 due to a
misaligned 64-bit data access. The (ARMv8) CPU is configured with SCTL.A
== 1 (alignment check enable). With SCTLR.A == 0 the code runs as expected.
After some investigation I came up with the following reproducer:
---8<-------8<-------8<-------8<-------8<-------8<-------8<-------
$ cat test.c
extern char
