A little help with default resolution of CentOS7 and Panasonic TV
Hi, everyone. tldr: How in the heck do I force CentOS7 to boot to a low/conservative GDM resolution? Hoping someone can lend a hand getting CentOS7 to sync to my Panasonic Vierra 42' TV. It worked fine in CentOS6.5 but since installing I boot to a GDM background with no login prompt. I can SSH into the node and configure multiuser runlevel but that's not fun at all. ;) Here's the

creating a floppy image from a linux file
Hi, I am still trying to get kick-start centos in my vmware5 because pxe cannot find the pxe server. I do not control the dhcp or pxe server. I have both my kickstart file and my iso image for centos6.5 on my vmware datastore, but am trying to run my kickstart file from VMware guest. Can I tell the command line to run from the datastore in VMWare? Or must I convert my kickstart file to a

CentOS 6.5 fresh install, public ssh keys cannot authenticate
Dear List, I cannot get public ssh keys to work in a fresh install of centos6.5 This might be a centos bug. I've googled for a solution. Mostly I found threads suggesting I debug sshd or run ssh -v for clues. Also I've seen threads suggesting I look at file and directory permissions. I dont think I should need to debug sshd after a fresh install. Also I think a fresh install should

CentOS 6.5 VirtualBox
Hi Is anyone here using VirtualBox? I've had it working rather well for some time, but after some recent upgrade or the other it's started exiting with a Segmentation fault just after startup, before windows are opened or anything. I've tried a few different versions, all with the same result. I'm using binary packages http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/rpm/el. So,

I added some bigger picture notes to http://llvm.org/docs/ReleaseNotes.html this morning, but we're still missing a lot of text, specifically: - clang: clang has it's own release notes

Is it safe to go from CentOS6.5 to CentOS 7 at this time
I am looking for opinions and personal experience on CentOS7 for both grid and virtualized web environments. I am currently on CentOS6.5 in a production environment. I am about to add about 50 more servers to my grid and am trying to identify the advantages and disadvantages of going to CentOS7. The good part is, that I have some tolerance for backing out and installing CentOS6.5 if 7 does not

Some questions: Release Notes CentOS 5.6
Hello A couple of days ago, I did the Spanish translation for ReleaseNotes CentOS 5.6 and I have some questions Right now, in the Spanish version we are using nice icons for "Notes". Would you like the same in the English and other translated versions ? (I know that is not important, just looks nice ;-) ) On many places we mention packages names or file names. I suggest use

CentOS LiveCD 5.3 release notes
I created both English and French release notes pages for the upcoming CentOS LiveCD 5.3: http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOSLiveCD5.3 http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOSLiveCD5.3/French The content is quite similar to the one from the CentOS LiveCD 5.2 except for these changes: - 5.2 -> 5.3 - file information (filename, size, md5sum, sha1sum) - some packages

[LLVMdev] LLVM 2.9 release notes + "Projects using LLVM" + API changes
Hi All, With 2.9 starting to make its way out into the world, it is time to start poking at the release notes. I plan to make a pass through llvm-commits to cull some of the major changes into bullets, but am already behind and insanely busy with other stuff over the next week. If you have commit access, I'd really appreciate it if you could take a pass through llvm/docs/ReleaseNotes.html

Ok, the LLVM 2.7 release notes are in near final shape. Please take a look and suggest improvements (or, better yet, just commit improvements if you have commit access): http://llvm.org/docs/ReleaseNotes.html Things still needed are marked with FIXMEs. These include: 1. Clang needs a blurb describing what's new in 2.7. Have the clang folks been doing anything for the last 6 months? 2. I

The LLVM 3.2 release is winding down, and that means release notes! There are two pieces to this. First, if you're an external LLVM user, we'd like to list you as such in the release notes. This is a great way to get some free advertisement. The section is here: http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project/llvm/branches/release_32/docs/ReleaseNotes.html?revision=HEAD#externalproj Please email
