Disable maildir indexing and dovecot-uidlist on LMTP/LDA delivery
Hello all, Is there a way to use LMTP (or LDA) so that maildir index and dovecot-uidlist are not updated? My setup is such that mail delivery sees user's maildir as write only. This setup works well when using postfix for mail delivery, but when I try to switch to dovecot LMTP the lmtp process wants to read the dovecot-uidlist and fails on insufficient privileges. Is there a way around this

Checkpassword interface for custom password check and home mounting
Hi, I'm trying to use the checkpassword interface to do a password check and if the check succeeds I mount the user home directory (including mail) using the users login password and uid. My password check seems to work, but when I add the home directory mounting things seem to stop. Dovecot never logs the result of the password check and nothing happens until the client gets bored and tries

Gnome Logouts -- are very slow or they hang -- 2nd post
! I just installed Centos 4.1 (i386) on one of my test drives. When ever I try to logout of a Gnome session, it seems to hang but if I wait about 4-5 minutes it will usually logout, although I have had it hang a couple of times (never logs out). When I do an ALT-TAB-F1, and log in as 'root', I can see the following processes still hanging around after Gnome finally does logout:

Call Center: scripting for call routing, reporting, login and logout, CTI
Hi All; I would like to use Asterisk for a call center, but really does not know if Asterisk support the following in a good way: 1) Ability to do an inteligent routing, so to route the call to the proper skill group based on the caller information? 2) If I can create skill groups and then the agent will login to this skill group. 3) What about reporting to check the call center performance?

setting up auto logout in CentOS 6
I would like to have my lab workstations logout a session after the person has been idle for a certain period of time. After some searching on the web, I got into /etc/gconf/schemas/gnome-session.schemas and set the default value of max_idle_action to ?forced-logout?: <schema> <key>/schemas/desktop/gnome/session/max_idle_action</key>

Hi all, Has anyone encountered this problem when installing software? This software requires the system to reboot. However, when installing with root permission, the system will not logout automatically. After login again, I found that the files have been copied. It seems nothing wrong exception system logout itself. My system is ubuntu 7.10 with wine 0.9.46. The same problem pops up on Suse

Purpose of LOGIN and LOGOUT
What is the purpose of the LOGIN <upsdevice> and LOGOUT commands in the network protocol? It seems if I supply USERNAME and PASSWORD then I am able to perform any operations on the device, so why would I need to use LOGIN? And since LOGIN takes a <upsdevice> but LOGOUT does not, I guess that LOGOUT is implicitly associated with the last (most recent) LOGIN? Which means a single client

Auto Logout from queue
i have a client that wants a function that will automatically logout an agent from a queue if they do not answer a call. This would prevent future calls from being sent to that phone if the agent forgot to logout. Any ideas? 2.5.1p1 logout hangs after RHL crond start
The RHL 6.2 command "/etc/rc.d/init.d/crond start" prevents clean logout from compiled version of OpenSSH-2.5.1p1 on all hosts. The command "/etc/rc.d/init.d/crond stop" is OK.
