Asterisk, QSIG and Tenovis PBX?
Hi,
we are still trying to properly connect a Tenovis PBX to an Asterisk server
(asterisk 1.2.6, libpri 1.2.2, zaptel 1.2.5, Digium Wildcard TE110P), this
time with QSIG.
Calling from a Tenovis phone to a SIP phone (i.e. traditional phone ->
Tenovis PBX -> QSIG -> Asterisk -> SIP phone) works with the following

'Freedman' is misspelled (as 'Friedman') in

problem using identify() after plot()
I can't seem to use the point-and-click identify() function properly.
I'm running R 2.5.1 (I know, I need to get around to upgrading) under
Win XP. The problem is, when I click on a point on the graph, I get an
error, "no point within 0.25 inches." But in some areas, I can click
where there is no visible point anywhere close, and an identify() label
will pop up. The troublesome

Problem with edit()
Since installing R 2.14.0 on my Mac (a Mac Pro running 10.6.8) an issue has arisen when using the vi editor in conjunction with the edit() command. More specifically, commented lines disappear from edited functions when using [functionname.R] <- edit().
That is, if you have created a function called “test.func” as such:
function ()

fill in area between 2 lines with a color
Hi - I'd like to have the area between 2 lines on a x-y plot be filled with
grey, but I haven't had
any luck using polygon or rect. (In reality, I'd like to do this for twice
- once for a low group and once for a high group - and then I'd like to plot
a set of data points for a 'normal' group together with these 2 grey areas.)
Here's a simple example of the 2 lines:

Problem with postscript graphics device driver
I recently installed R version 2.01 for OS X (version 10.3.6). I now
get the following error message when I try to use the postscript
function:
Error in get(name.opt, envir = envir) : Object ".PSenv" not found
This did not happen in previous versions of R (i.e. 1.9). I do not get
this error message when using the pdf graphics device driver.
Thanks,

if problem in function
Dear all,
I have written a function for calculating the volume of a tree (=trad) or
snag (=h?gst).
The included volume regreesion model includes ten parameter values, which
are tree species specific.
bj?rk.formh?jd.pars is an object which includes the parameter values
(parameter set) for birch (=bj?rk).
There is one row per tree in the data object.

Using 'sapply' and 'by' in one function
Greetings,
I'm having a problem with something that I think is very simple - I'd
like to be able to use the 'sapply' and 'by' functions in 1 function
to be able (for example) to get regression coefficients from multiple
models by a grouping variable. I think that I'm missing something
that is probably obvious to experienced users.
Here's a simple (trivial)

LMTP: Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender: User doesn't exist! :-(
:-)
I'm using postfix for mail delivery and dovecot for mailbox access imaps
pop3s.
Postfix resolves, verifies and overwrites users' addresses by numerous
subtle LDAP queries. However users are visible as local ones (openldap,
pam, nss) in the sense I can run `id' or `finger' queries and receive
replies.
Dovecot handles all mailboxes over imap/pop correctly with no

Fwd: Fun with TrippLite
Hi Jonathan and Charles,
yes, the Tripp-Lite HID subdriver was under development. I started it
based on the debug output posted by somebody on this list a few weeks
ago, but then I either didn't get the information I needed, or got too
busy to act on it.
That driver is still incomplete, in the sense that there are many
unmapped device variables.
Jonathan, if you run this driver, could you

FileMaker 8 Issues
Hi, I was wondering if some Wine wizards would be willing to help me with a
few residual issues I'm having with FileMaker 8 Pro on Wine 0.9.3.
Something changed between 0.9.2 and 0.9.3, and I'm interested to know what,
that made the actual application usable. (an MSI MaskEdit patch fixed the
installation issue post-0.9.2, thanks!) Under 0.9.2 typing into a database

plm: plm.data vs pdata.frame
Hello,
I am trying to use the plm package for panel econometrics. I am just
trying to get started and load my data. It seems from most of the
sample documentation that I need to use the pdata.frame function to
get my data loaded. However, even after installing the "plm" package,
my R installation cannot find the function. I am trying to follow the
example in plmEN.pdf (
