Implementing a boolean "switch" in a Class
I need a single boolean which would be "globally" accessible to all
instances of a class. Seems like the boolean should be in the class
prototype, but I was troubled by the difficulty of setting the prototype
boolean to true. Maybe I''m missing something?

Detecting Body Onload
I have a piece of code that "waits" for body onload. Every 30ms, it tests
$(''body'').
Seems that isn''t always good enough. I''ve hit situations where the DOM is
"partially" loaded somehow.
I fixed matters by setting a global flag...

Really easy field validation with Prototype Help
Hello,
I''m trying to implement this. The problem that I am having is that the
form submits via an Ajax call and I can figure out how to get the
validation code to return false if something failed validation. Below
is the link to the webpage but I see nothing on how to have it call a
function when everything is valid.

javascript woes with radio button groups
Ok! So I have this survey project I''m working on where there are a list of
questions but only one shows up at a time.
That part''s easy. And, it is fully functional as we speak (and I think even
''live'') however.....
My boss wants to be able to have the survey go to the next question when a
user selects an answer. This part is easy.. except.....

[LLVMdev] How to use EE->runFunction for a function with StructRet set?

I'm using LLVM 2.4 (but llvm-gcc 2.2) on Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex) for
a small part-time project combining Witty (http://www.webtoolkit.eu) and
the ExecutionEngine in LLVM. (This is my second week with any of these
so I still lack a lot of basic knowledge.)
Sometimes I want to call a function returing a struct (in this case

DOM events not firing in IE6 with floated divs
Hi All
Not strictly Scriptaculous but I came across this whilst trying to implement
some Scriptaculous code. I am hoping some XHTML guru out there might be able
to shed some light.
If you load up the attached file in IE6, you''ll see the events only fire in
the middle section of the title bar when your over the border ! - FF1.5 is
fine..
Any thoughts / comments appreciated..

Prototype Based Validation with form_remote_tag

I am attempting to use validation.js from

e/ with form_remote_tag. The rails form helper binds the needed
Ajax.Updater to the onSubmit action of the form. The validation.js also
attempts to bind to the onSubmit of the form.
The logic that is needed is

...Ajax.Updater...
}

I am using the following validation prototype-based js library:

What I am trying to do is upon submitting a form via AJAX, I want it
to meet the conditions of the validation of the function validateMe()
If it passes, go ahead and continue and push the form information via

Xfire Crashing
I am having some troubles with Xfire (installer number 43094). I am running Ubuntu 10.10. Xfire starts and I can log in, but as soon as I click something, it crashes.
I'm starting with a fresh WINEPREFIX. There is nothing else installed there, and no changes in winecfg. Windows version is set to XP.
First couple trys, running Wine 1.2.2 from the Ubuntu repositories:
