How to change mem-max to no-limit
Hello,
After I limited max memory usage in one domain, how could I reset
mem-max to no-limit?
Besides, I used "xm create -F xxxx.xm" to create a domain successfully.
But when I shut it down, this domain disappear from "xm list". Why that
happened?
Thanks.

XEN 4.0.2-rc2 - using OCAML xenstored -- xend not starting?
Hi All,
I just tried a new installation of Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit) + Xen and am
having some trouble starting XEN. I am using the latest mercurial checkout
(4.0.2-rc2) and the only change I made was to Config.mk to enable building
the OCAML version of xenstored. " CONFIG_OCAML_XENSTORED ?= y". I am using
the same kernel I built earlier for a similar Ubuntu 10.04-64bit / Xen

System reboots while installing a guest Windows
Hi,
For doing a project, I am using xen (version 3.1.0) from source code. When
I want to install the guest system (using i.e. xm create w2k3.hvm), my
whole system reboots and nothing else happens. I do not know how to find
out what is wrong with my xen installation.
I will appreciate if some one helps me to solve this problem.
Thank you,
-Adrian

domU reboot leaves VM crashing continually
Greetings,
I?m new to xen virtualization on CentOS, but I have been unable to find the
answer to this problem I?m experiencing.
My setup: AMD quad core (64bit), 8Gb ram. CentOS 5.3 dom0, CentOS 5.3
domU?s (paravirtualized).
Dom0 is set up with two NIC?s, the built-in and a PCI card, and I set up xen
bridging on both interfaces.
My domU?s seem to boot up fine, run fine, and

xm save while VM is writing once per second?
I must not be understanding something trivial that I cannot
find in the documentation.
I am running Xen 2.0.5 with Fedora Core 3 successfully.
I have a VM (VM4) running a test shell script that loops
infinitely while writing the date and a counter every
second (to /tmp/counter).
The entire VM is using a file-backed VBD for all storage
(/vm-images/vm-4-disk acting as sda1 to the VM).

with heavy VM IO, clocksource causes random dom0 reboots
On Debian Squeeze (2.6.32-5) running Xen 4.0, I have created 2 Ubuntu
Lucid Lynx (Ubuntu 10.04) vms. The vms, in a stress test, pass a large
file between them via nfs file sharing. A previous entry in this forum
helped to establish that some ethernet cards improve VM IO performance.
However, our box installed with better intel nics is still rebooting
under heavy VM IO loads. The kernel call

snv 77 W2003 domu loses config on reboot/shutdown
Hi All,
I successfully installed a 32bit W2003 domu using the following config file (as the CD image wasn''t persistent between reboots, otherwise I would have used virt-install ;-) ) :

resizing filesystem in a VM
Hello,
I am using Xen 4.0.1 and Xen 3.2.1 dom0 with Debian Lenny and Squeeze dom0s.
I have a bunch of virtual machines running , all using LVM as backend
storage.
Mostly, an LVM logical volume is mapped to a partition in the VM (eg: xvda1)
I have tried to hot resize the filesystem in the VM without umounting it
but it just do not work... Here is what I did:
- lvextend on the dom0,

VTd not showing PCI device in VM
I''m having trouble actually seeing a PCI device in my VMs. I''ve
resolved several of my issues using previous posts and using the
VTdHowTo wiki page. I have both VT and VTd BIOS options enabled. I
have pciback hiding the devices and xm can list and assign the devices
to VMs. I don''t see the PCI devices in my VMs though. I have tried a

trouble launching vm''s
Hello,
I must be missing something very very basic. Because I am having
trouble launching some vm''s that I recently built whereas I don''t have
any problem at all launching some older images I made in very much the
same way!
First there is vm01 which works just fine:
[root@lcent5-1:/etc/xen]$:xm create vm01
Using config file "./vm01".

Avoiding suspension of xen VM at source after migration.
Xen Developers:
Today, we can move a VM from point A to point B. The
VM ends up at point B. After that, all resources are
reclaimed at point A. Is there a way we that
after the migration, the VM in A continues to run. We
end up with two VMs, one in A and one (its clone) in
B?
I assume that today''s Xen doesn''t have any feature to
do this (e.g., xm clone). I wonder however if

[PATCH] Fix argument check of xm reboot command (3)

I tested unlikely operations about the xm reboot/shutdown command.
