Running into a weird error when trying to follow puppetlabs'' blog:

I''m running 10.8.2, using default ruby, in an attempt to make my home env a little more sane, (ran into weird rbenv issues at work, which I won''t go into here)
The google tells me not a whole lot. Appreciate any help

Build a ruby gem and conditionally specify dependencies

How to make puppetlabs_spec_helper ignore modules inside fixtures
Hello all,
I have created this module:
https://github.com/Spantree/puppet-thrift and everything worked fine all
specs ran fine.
Now I using the puppetlabs/apt module and when I run the 'rake spec' it is
trying to run the 'apt' tests, and it is failing (I think) because I am not
providing the appropriate facts.
Is there a way to ignore the rspecs inside the

Mongrel PID file permissions
Hi !
I''m using Mongrel 1.0.1 with --pid and --user/--group. The PID files
are correctly owned by the user/group, but their permissions is 0666.
Is that normal ? Shouldn''t it be something like 0664 ?
Just curious to know if I''m wrong.
Configurator has this (line 77):
# Writes the PID file but only if we''re on windows.

models loading
Hi there,
In the latest releases bdrb attempts to load all models during startup
routine. We have models that depend on the particular RUBY_PLATFORM
but they live in the same models directory. It seems that the
inability to load them stops bdrb. Could the models requiring /
loading be done one demand, the same as Rails does?
thanks,

Unable to replace a symlink with regular file
I am running Puppet 2.7.x (x varies from 14 to 20 on different machines).
I am trying to use Puppet to deploy a new Zabbix agent configuration file.
On all machines where the file wasn''t a symlink, the deployment worked.
However, every machine where it is a link, Puppet refuses to replace teh
link with a regular file or do anything with it.
I''ve read the type reference, and

Puppet trying to start service before package is installed
Hi,
This one is driving me crazy. Problem is Puppet try to start some
services (in this case zabbix-agent) before it is installed.
My puppet-master is Debian 5.05 with Puppet 2.6.0 (from squeeze).
Target system is FreeBSD 8.1 with Puppet 2.6.1 (from packages-8-
stable).
When I run puppet manually in debug-mode I get:

Augeas lens for zabbix agent config files?
Hi all,
I''m trying to come up with a lens for the zabbix agent config files. I
find the lens language untransparent at best, so I''m struggeling to
figure out what''s up. The debugging possibilities are extremely
limited. Here''s what I have now:

Sudo #includedir function ignored CentOS 6
I am unable to get the #includedir function to work with sudo. This works
just fine on all my CentOS 5.6 servers, but on 6 it is being ignored. I
have this line in the file /etc/sudoers.d/zabbix-puppet
zabbix ALL=NOPASSWD: /var/lib/zabbix/bin/start_puppet
However sudo still requires a password. If I put that same line into
/etc/sudoers file , there is no password prompt. At the end of my

Thanks for your response! However this is what happens when I try to
install the module:
[root at monitor2:~] #semodule -i zabbix.pp
libsepol.print_missing_requirements: zabbix's global requirements were not
met: type/attribute zabbix_t (No such file or directory).

Hey guys,.
I have a centos 7 machine I'm using as a zabbix server. And I noticed that

Monitoring Xen with Zabbix..
Is anyone using Zabbix to monitoring Xen at the dom0 level?
Right now I have the Zabbix agent running in each domU but I would like to
get per domU and aggregated statistics from the hyper visor perspective.
I see a bunch of ''hard'' ways to collect these stats but first I want to make
sure there isn''t some ''magic pill'' for Zabbix / Xen that I might of
