Permissions for LAMP
I am running a Lamp server on a CentOS 6.5 box. It works fine, I am
concerned that I may have the wrong file/dir permissions.
The directories /var and /var/www are root:root and 755.
For /var/www/html and all directories underneath I have apache:apache
and 770.
For all files under /var/www/html I have apache:apache and 660.
Are these these permissions OK?
Thank you,
Joe

Scope of testing done by CentOS Development Team
Hello,
What types of tests does the CentOS Development Team do for software in its repositories?
Where does it get its test catalog from?
I want to create a testing process which is equal to if not more rigorous that the CentOS process for any third party software we use.
For example, if I install the php-mysqlnd package from the Remi repository, I want to test it just as carefully as the

[Atcom] Asterisk + LAMP on 128MB RAM?
Hello
I'm thinking of selling an Asterisk server based on Atcom's IP02
solid-state unit with one FXO and one FXS ports:
http://atcom.cn/En_products_IP02.htm
By default, this unit based on a 400MHz Blackfin 532 chip only has
64MB RAM and 256MB of NAND flash. Those can be increased to 128MB and
1GB, respectively.
Do you think I can install Linux + Asterisk + LAMP (replacing MySQL

updating a Centos 6 lamp stack
Hello,
I've got a new centos 6 system it's i386 and I'm wanting to update
it's lamp stack, specifically httpd, php, and mysql. Also, if postfix
as an MTA would be available that's a plus.
I've checked out the centos wiki and it looks like I have two choices
for third party repos for this task. I have enabled rpmforge as of
now. The two repos I'm seeing are Les RPM de

Message lamp integration with legacy pbx during conversion
I posted this earlier on the development list. For those of you who watch both lists, please pardon the duplication.
Currently, in our * lab we use all SIP phones so the MWI NOTIFY works perfect.
I would like to do a pilot with some legacy gear, however. Accordingly, I'd like to be able to have * dial 1000X where X is the box that has a new voicemail message and 1001X when the user of mb X

Busy Lamp Field SIP Phone
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good SIP phone with a busy lamp
field? I need my operator to be able to see extension status for about
20 extensions and transfer via HOLD + extension button. I've got a pair
of SNOM 360s with the sidecar, but I'm very disappointed with them. The
buttons are cheap and rubbery like a Sipura 841, the handset cord is
short and cheap, the audio quality

External MW Lamp On/Off
One of the connections my asterisk PBX has is an analog
extension from a Comdial hybrid.
On the Comdial system, message waiting is turned on by dialing
*3 and then the station number.
It is turned off by dialing #3 and the station number.
I was wanting to have Asterisk (or Comedian mail) set the
message lamp in the Comdial system when a new message arrives for a
user, and extinguish the lamp

I''ve been learning Ruby lately, and would like to start some Rails

what I want to do back in November 2003.

error building php spec file
Hi.
Which CentOS version you using?
If it is CentOS 6 then instead of building it from source, you can use IUS
repo which has latest php packages.
Below is the link for the packages in IUS repo for CentOS 6.
