Has anyone managed to install Audacity 1.2.6 on CentOS 5.0 x86?

Anyone been able to get pgadmin3 installed on CentOS-4 ? The WxGTK2 stuff makes it impossible for me to get installed from RPM/SRPM from their site and likewise, couldn't rebuild from Fedora SRPMS either. I figure between Jim and Owen and ???, somebody might have succeeded where I would be doomed. I can get around with phppgadmin but pgadmin3 is pretty cool. Thanks Craig

I am going to present Linux to my ham radio club at some point in the next few months, and wanted to collect info on ham radio software, including options for echolink. Our repeater has an echolink connection, thus if I present the software available for it, it might perk up people's interests more. It would also be very helpful if the echlink applications offered proxy/firewall options

Hey Guys, We have a central server which runs centos, most of the client machines run on windows. Does anybody know of a solution whereby we can manage antivirus for all the clients from the centos server? I know there are management consoles for managing antivirus on windows but we dont want to run a windows server.. Anybody have any ideas? Or are we just screwed and need to have a windows

What's a good, gui-based sound editor as an alternative to audacity (since that is not working right now due to conflicts in the gtk libraries in rpmforge)? I am using Audacity to record some voice prompts. The .wav files I'm producing are of stellar quality. However, once I turn them into .gsm, they sound buzzy and muffled. I know that some of this comes with the territory, but I wonder if there is anyone out there who does this routinely, and who can advise me as to the MO I could use that results in the highest quality in the resulting

Hi, ? I'm having trouble with Audacity and Vorbis. Having proccessed a number of raw WAV files, I export to a mono Vorbis file, quality 5. I open it first with VLC, then Windows Media Player, and both play the file aprx 1.5 seconds late, therefore skipping the first 1.5 seconds. Any idea why it's doing this, and how I can remedy it? ?
