Core dump during UID Search
Hey all,
I keep finding core dumps of the IMAP process on my FreeBSD 11.2, however the backtrace is not very useful:
Core was generated by `imap: [xistence at 0x58.com 2601:282:4301:befc:1cfb:807f:e527:5a3b UID SEARCH]'.
Program terminated with signal 6, Aborted.

Did you install the debug symbols for Dovecot? On Debian, those are
available as a separate dovecot-dbg package. I'm not sure how FreeBSD
provides this.

Stephan.

I?m using the package available from the quarterly repository.
I will build from ports and report back.

Debian: Dovecot 2.3.0.1 won't start if dovecot-pop3d is missing
Hello,
given a Debian 9 system with Dovecot 2.2.34 installed from self-built
packages made from the official tarball combined with Stephan Bosch's
debian files (upgraded multiple times from packages made in a similar way).
Today, I updated this system to 2.3.0.1 from the official repository at
repo.dovecot.org. After the update, dovecot wouldn't start because of:

OK, I obviously forgot something when setting up new user accounts (which I did via postfix admin to add them to the MySQL database):

dsync for subscription on public/shared folder
Hello,
I already wrote regarding that, but maybe it sounded too complex. I will
write it a bit softer now.
The replication through dsnyc works perfectly with one exception. I am
having an issue with the replication of the subscriptions file on shared
folder.
We have a public mailbox defined:
namespace public-test {
location = maildir:/opt/mail/_public/test
prefix = public/test/

Sieve 0.5.0/Dovecot 2.3.0
Using 2.3.0/0.5 and the below scripts/config, why doesn?t a mail addressed to ler_freebsd at lerctr.org get the FreeBSD flag?
.dovecot.sieve points to master.sieve.
Scripts:

doveconf -n:

Dovecot and recipient_delimiter
Hi,
we're using thunderbird as our client, it has the functionality to sort
spamassassin tagged mails in a folder called 'Junk'.
I have this folder on my dovecot server and i'd like to use the
recipient_delimiter feature to get my spam/junk mails directly to this
folder.
what i have done yet:
dovecot.conf:
plugin {
recipient_delimiter = +

passwd-file, getting invalid uid 0
Per my earlier post about system and virtual users, I have everything working, but I'm seeing the
following message, and wondering:
1) does it matter?
2) is there a way to suppress it?
I have an Exim /etc/aliases entry that sends root to me.

Transitioning away from mail_location = maildir:~
Hi,
I have been using this setup for years:
mail_home = /var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n
mail_location = maildir:~
I have since learned that mail_home and mail_location should be
different. I plan to use this:
mail_home = /var/mail/vhosts/%d/%n
mail_location = maildir:~/mail
I would like the transition to be transparent for my email clients. I
don't want mail/directories/sieve_scripts to
