runs.test in by() statement
Hi everybody I am a recent convert from SAS so please excuse me if this is all very obvious: I want to use the runs test {runs.test() in package tseries} to test the randomness of a certain variable in a survey for each interviewer. I tried to us the by() statement but it doesn't seem to work with runs.test() as the function. Here is what I have: Consider a data frame with two variables and

AD authentication problem
I'm having a problem authenticating to Active Directory. I can join the machine to the domain, wbinfo -g/-u will list the groups and users and I can map a drive using: smbclient -k //s-lorentz.s-res.uva.nl/c\$ However when I try to get the linux machine to authenticate a user it doesn't work giving the error NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS (0xc000005e). Looking further in the logs it fails

[PATCH] VMCI: Fix two UVA mapping bugs
From: Jorgen Hansen <jhansen at vmware.com> (this is a resend of this patch. Originally sent last year, but post appears to have been lost) This change fixes two bugs in the VMCI host driver related to mapping the notify boolean from user space into kernel space: - the actual UVA was rounded up to the next page boundary - resulting in memory corruption in the calling process whenever

[PATCH v2 1/3] daemon: make sgdisk_info_extract_uuid_field more generic
Rename the sgdisk_info_extract_uuid_field to sgdisk_info_extract_field in order to reuse it for other field types. Just like its C ancestor, it now needs an extractor function to be passed as parameter. --- daemon/parted.ml | 22 ++++++++++++---------- 1 file changed, 12 insertions(+), 10 deletions(-) diff --git a/daemon/parted.ml b/daemon/parted.ml index d6638867a..6fe803613 100644 ---

Error RODBC: Random termination of R
Dear list, I get random terminations of R-2.6.2 when using RODBC-1.2_3 and a remote PostgreSQL-8.2.6 database, unixodbc-2.2.11-16, odbc-postgresql-1:08.01.0200-2.1 on Ubuntu Linux 7.10. The exact messages can be seen below. It seems that there is some memory corruption going on. But it seems random to me and can neither be related to addPK=T/F or fast=T/F. It happens for all possible

libGL error messages
Are you on mesa 18.1.0 and using a nv3x/nv4x gpu? If so, update to 18.1.1. If not, provide more information. The error is that nouveau_dri.so can't be loaded, which means you're not getting acceleration. You can also make the error go away by sticking LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 into your environment or removing nouveau_dri.so. Cheers, -ilia On Mon, Jun 11, 2018 at 1:02 PM, Dan Jacobson

can't join the list via email
Where did you see instructions for doing this? Apparently this is disabled on purpose due to spam. Or did you just assume it would work based on other mailman lists? more structure than 'str'?
How can I see more of the structure than displayed by 'str'? Consider the following: tstDF <- data.frame(a=1, row.names='b') > str(tstDF) 'data.frame': 1 obs. of 1 variable: $ a: num 1 The object 'tstDF' has row.names, but I have to suspect they are there -- AND know a function like 'row.names' or 'dimnames' -- to see
