Bug#588839: Include pv-grub to securely boot guest kernels
Hi,
is anyone still working on this? Are there unofficial packages
somewhere? I find it disappointing that no solution has been found in
three years.
/me sighs and reads the build-it-yourself instructions.
Greetings,
Joachim

Safely piping to a shell script
Thanks for the previous answer on :execute. In thinking about
malicious input, I am worried about the possibility that mail will be
sent with a clever from line. (Section 7 of
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc5229.txt is great, btw)
To address this, I'm considering the following, and would appreciate
feedback. I'm aware that this doesn't capture all emails, those with

WISH: eval() to preserve the "visibility" (now value is always visible)
Would it be possible to have the value of eval() preserve the
"visibility" of the value of the expression?

WISH: eval() to preserve the "visibility" (now value is always visible)
Sorry to intervene.
Argument passed to 'eval' is evaluated first.
So,
eval(x <- 2)
is effectively like
{ x <- 2; eval(2) } ,
which is effectively
{ x <- 2; 2 } .
The result is visible.
eval(expression(x <- 2))
or
eval(quote(x <- 2))
or
evalq(x <- 2)
gives the same effect as
x <- 2 .
The result is invisible.
In function 'eval2',
res <-

Why is .journal file sometimes visible and sometimes not?
Hi.
I recently migrated two machines from ext2 to ext3. Kernels (nearly
identical) are 2.4.9-ac9 + preemptivity-patch + wrr-patch. The Installations
are based on Mandrake 7.2 + 8.0. Also I have e2fstools-1.23 newly compiled on
them. Both machines have two ext3 partitions (root + multimedia-data). On one
machine I see a .journal file on both partitions, on the other machine

I can not get any scriptaculous effects to finish with items visible
I''m sorry I can''t seem to get any of the scriptaculous
effects to work correctly. I''ve searched on the web
forum but found nothing relevant. The only time I get
an HTML element to fade or shrink gracefully is when I
use them as inline handlers and feed them ''this''
instead of the HTML element id. But I can not get
anything to appear. Things disappear but

Newbe:Where declare constants visible in view & controller ?
I am using some constants that should be visible in the controller and
in a view.
Declaring the constant in the controller does not make the constant
visible in the view.
So my question:
Where can I declare the constant to be visible in all views and
controllers ?
Thanks a lot in advance

Samba4 server not visible from windows network
Hi people:
I recently installed a Samba 4.0.3 server in a small company. Users
are still working as a workgroup -not as a NT nor ADS domain yet-
using Windows XP and Windows 7.
Everything seems to be working fine except for one thing: Windows
clients can't find the samba server from the Windows Network Places
(My Network Places -> Entire Network -> ...). It just appears the rest

How could I use function in-visible to user in my code? For example

2 mouse cursors visible using a steam app
All, I am finally stumped enough by something to post in the forum! Basically whilst running a game through steam (either from steam itself or running the exe directly) I get 2 cursors. Now one of them is the one I would expect and works properly, however the second one is kinda anchored to the middle of the screen and looks like the gnome cursor.
If you move your mouse, the middle cursor tries

Printers not visible to other users
Hi all,
I run a 3.0.8 Samba PDC with WIN XP SP2 clients. I configured printing
(lprng) with drivers uploaded to the server for easy printer
installation on the clients.
This works like a charm: I can drag'n drop printers from the server's
printer share or install them with the local "Add printer" wizzard.
I do this as a domain admin on the client and it works fine.
BUT: If
