[R-pkgs] A new version of the package “TestSurvRec” is now available on CRAN
Dear useRs, A new version of the package “TestSurvRec” is now available on CRAN. In this version I add new function and new data of recurrent events. The new function called “Plot.Data.Events” plots recurrent event data and the new data is useful as example for see the functionally of the others functions of the package. For more details see the corresponding “TestSurvRec” pkg now

True ActiveRecord result set iteration
Hello, For an internal project we were looking for a solution which extends ActiveRecord by an iterator function. Using find(:all) is no fun if you have to process some 10.000 records. Until now there have been two ways of dealing with that scenario: - write your logic a second times (e.g. use stored procedure) - bet on AR plugins which work around that limitation by fetching IDs and

[LLVMdev] Issues with flag namespace
Hello Dmitry, First of all, thank you for your reply. Because of it, I focused in create the lib that helped me. Second, I realize that actually there was one thing different between the machines: due to a more frequent use of the iMac, I have a group of environment variables that are set to my developer folder; and the $PATH is one of those. Furthermore, it seems that my default compiler for

is there something like addslashes and stripslashes in prototype
if i would save the content of a textarea into mysql i eventually have to mask things like ,"/\ and so on. in php there are the add- and stripslashes functions you could use. is there somthing compareable like this in the string object of prototype? if not, it would very nice to have, i think. function addslashes(str) { str=str.replace(/\''/g,''\\\'''');

Coxph frailty model counting process error X matrix deemed singular
Hello, I am currently trying to simulate data and analyze it using the frailty option in the coxph function. I am working with recurrent event data, using counting process notation. Occasionally, (about 1 in every 100 simulations) I get the following warning: Error in coxph(Surv(start, end, censorind) ~ binary + uniform + frailty(subject, : X matrix deemed to be singular; variable 2 My

cluster.min-free-disk working?
Hi, have a system consisting of four bricks, using 3.3.2qa3. I used the command gluster volume set glusterKumiko cluster.min-free-disk 20% Two of the bricks where empty, and two were full to just under 80% when building the volume. Now, when syncing data (from a primary system), and using min-free-disk 20% I thought new data would go to the two empty bricks, but gluster does not seem

I have data that consist of approx 1,100 Consecutive patients released from hospital after first Myocardial infarction (MI). They were followed for 13 years. Recurrent MI and unstable angina pectoris (UAP) leading to hospitalization were recorded (within-subject range: 0-4 for recurrent MI;

Why daisy() in cluster library failed to exclude NA when computing dissimilarity
Hi, According to daisy function from cluster documentation, it can compute dissimilarity when NA (missing) value(s) is present. http://stat.ethz.ch/R-manual/R-devel/library/cluster/html/daisy.html But why when I tried this code library(cluster) x <- c(1.115,NA,NA,0.971,NA) y <- c(NA,1.006,NA,NA,0.645) df <- as.data.frame(rbind(x,y)) daisy(df,metric="gower") It gave this

R Plots for Recurrent Events - Suggestions are needed
Hi, I am wondering if there is a simple way to plot MCF(mean cumulative function) for recurrent events in R? MCF (http://www.weibull.com/hotwire/issue57/relbasics57.htm) And do you have some other recommendation in visualize recurrent events? I did some research online. Some people use ggplot2 to plot MCF, but it requires some additional coding. http://user2010.org/slides/Shentu.pdf Your help

Consultant needed for WTP analysis based on results from a conjoint survey
We are in the process of analyzing data from a discrete-choice conjoint survey and are looking for a consultant who can help us assess willingness to pay (WTP). We are currently able to assess overall WTP using the coefficients from our conjoint analysis but would like assistance in determining if significant differences in WTP exist across a number of subgroups via a segmented analysis or some
