[LLVMdev] Question about jumptable and indirect function call.
Hi all, I'm a beginner in LLVM. I read a paper recently, and I'm trying to use LLVM jumptable in 3.5. When I compile the .bc file into .s file, I tried to use the different jumptable type: all, single, ... e.g. clang -c -emit-llvm test.c llc test.bc -jump-table-type=full -o test-full.s llc test.bc -jump-table-type=single -o test-single.s The tested C source code is like: void foo() {

[PATCH] tools: revert to using /var and /etc/
26470:acaf29203cf9 "tools+stubdom: install under /usr/local by default" moved more stuff under /usr/local than was desirable. In particular SYSCONFIG_DIR (configuration for initscripts) moved to /usr/local/etc/{sysconfig,defaults} while the initscripts themselves (correctly) remained in /etc/init.d. Moving /etc/xen/scripts breaks the udev bakcned rules file. Lastly stuff under /var was

Arndale: domU not booting
Dear all, I followed the steps described in the wiki in order to get an Arnadle board running Xen, but I''m having trouble in starting a domU. Let me describe you the steps I followed. Sorry for such a long mail, but I think that a verbose description is necessary so you can point me what I''m doing wrong. I couldn''t boot properly over the network. This is why I

Problem making usbhid-ups working on Centos 5.7
Hello, I've compiled and installed nut-2.7.2 on a Xen server (Actually XCP 1.6/Centos 5.7) to manage a Dell UPS 2700W. Here is my ups.conf : [SU27003U-08] driver = usbhid-ups port = auto desc = "SU27003U-08" 52-nut-usbups.rules have well been installed in /lib/udev/rules.d/. I've put it in /etc/udev/rules.d/ too. I've rebooted the machine.

RFC: removing hardcoded "modprobe blktap" in xencommons
Hi Jan Back before 4.3 release you complaint about the hardcoded modprobe for blktap / blktap2 in xencommons script. I started to look into it this week and tried to do this modprobe automatically in libxl (that''s the idea we discussed before 4.3 IIRC). Unfortunately I didn''t manage to find any canonical documents on how a user space process can trigger a modprobe.

Unable to start container after OS upgrade
I upgraded my container from CentOS 6.4 to CentOS 6.5. Everything looks good after upgrade until reboot. When rebooted to container I'm getting the following errors.. Any help would be greatly appreciated /bin/mknod: `/dev/lp2': Operation not permitted /bin/chown: cannot access `/dev/lp2': No such file or directory /bin/mknod: `/dev/lp3': Operation not permitted /bin/chown: cannot

[PATCH 0/2] appliance: When running systemd-tmpfiles, pass --boot
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1165785 Since the --boot option is relatively new (added 2013-12), I suspect this will break older versions of systemd. However it should be fine for all currently supported versions of Fedora. Rich.

intermittent domU issue: related to udev?
Hello list. My server: Gentoo 2.6.21-xen dom0 xen-tools 3.2.1 lvm 2.02.28-r2 udev-115-r1 Symptoms: normally I run 4 domUs. About once a week I have a need to restart a domU. Sometimes it works just fine, but other times it does not and I''ll get a message back saying "Error: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working". The domU config file has not

[LLVMdev] Emit a jump instruction to a place inside basicblock
Hi all, I'm a beginner in LLVM. Currently, I want to implement a pass that generates a jump table. The entry in that table is a jump to some place (may be an instruction) in a basic block. I'm reading the JumpTable code in llvm 3.5, there is a table which contains jump entries to functions. In AsmPrinter::doFinalization function from file lib/CodeGen/AsmPrinter/AsmPrinter.cpp, it gets a

Xenstore daemon is not running after boot; although can be started manually later. Any pointers why ?
Hello, I build and installed Xen (4.1.3) from source, and I think I have got it working. Well, almost. I am using unmodified kernel of Fedora16 as my dom0 kernel. So this is what happened. I am able to boot into Xen, but the "xl info" failed with the standard error message mentioned in the tutorial. "libxl: error: libxl.c:56:libxl_ctx_init Is xenstore daemon running? failed to

[PATCH 0 of 2] [RFC] Patches to work with processor-passthru driver (v1).
These two patches provide the neccessary infrastructure changes for the processor-passthru driver [www.spinics.net/lists/linux-acpi/msg34655.html] to properly function. The first one is quite easy - we just modprobe the processor-passthru driver. The second allows it to work under AMD machines by exposing the PM RDMSR to dom0. It has been tested with 2.6.32 kernel as well to make sure it does

XEN/arm XENFB support
Goodmorning, I''m currently playing with XEN/arm on my Allwinner A20 (cubieboard2) I would like to get the XENFB driver working on domU. But currently in xen/arm there''s no support for VFB, atleast qemu is not supported. But this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po1IeElg8tg and this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km6gBnIqaWo is showing a working framebuffer. So there are
