base::format adds extraneous whitespace for some inputs
I can reproduce this. It has to do with whether the value rounds down to 9 or up to 10, and thus needs another space, I think. I agree that it shouldn't happen, but at least you can get rid of the space by using trim = TRUE. # rounds to 9 vs 10 format(9.95, digits = 2) format(9.96, digits = 2) format(9.95, digits = 2, nsmall = 2) format(9.96, digits = 2, nsmall = 2) format(9.95, digits =

Extraneous option in sshd_config?
Hi, I've found the option in CentOS 7 in sshd_config file #Host *.local # CheckHostIP no I think that option is for ssh_config, not for sshd_config. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks in advance! -- -- Sergio Belkin http://www.sergiobelkin.com LPIC-2 Certified - http://www.lpi.org

base::format adds extraneous whitespace for some inputs
Dear R Core Team, First of all, thank you for your amazing work on developing and maintaining this wonderful language. I just stumbled upon the following behavior in R version 3.6.0: format(9.91, digits = 2, nsmall = 2) format(9.99, digits = 2, nsmall = 2) yield "9.91" and " 9.99" with an extraneous whitespace. My expected output for the second command is

Trim trailing whitespace from username
Recently we changed Postfix to use Dovecot for our SASL authentication and we ran into trouble with some of our clients having extraneous spaces at the end of their usernames. The quick fix was to add a space to username_chars. The slightly longer fix was a pretty simple patch to Dovecot. I put the trimming in auth_request_fix_username. I didn't think it warranted a full strfuncs

Can rsync server mark deleted source files as extraneous?
rsync --delete option tells rsync to delete extraneous files from the receiving side (ones that aren't on the sending side). But if a user accidentally deletes a file, there is no way to restore it from the server. If --delete option is not used, and the local hard disk is destroyed, restored data will include old deleted files. Is there a way for rsync server to retain backup of deleted source

sshd_config AllowUsers syntax wrong in documentation
It seems the syntax for AllowUsers in sshd_config is not the same that is given in man sshd_config and in several documentation on the web. (http://www.openssh.com/cgi-bin/man.cgi?query=sshd_config) e.g. AllowUsers root does work. AllowUsers root username does not work. If I try to login as root I get "User root from <hostname> not allowed because not listed in AllowUsers".

Match Statement in sshd_config
Hello Portable OpenSSH Team! I recently read the man-page of sshd and found: The Match-Statement. Which maybe could solve the problem i have. (Get freeNX running on my UbuntuBox and connect to it with the Windows-Client just using PublicKey Authentication ) But unfortunately the documentation of the Match-Statement refers to the PATTERN section, which is non existent :-( After a little bit of

"extraneous" in commit 3bd9f51917ed5718275c6132006be155239a0550
In this commit you put "extraneous hard-linked files". I find this confusing because the hard-linked entries may have been created by rsync itself. I think the previous version is better. Or you could put "If there are files that are hard-linked at the destination but not at the origin".

Questions about sshd_config man page and comments in the file
Hi , I have two problems when i went through a) the man page of sshd_config and b) the comments quoted in sshd_config file itself. They are given below. a) >From the man page of sshd_config: "If UsePAM is enabled, you will not be able to run sshd(8) as a non-privileged user." I changed the permission of the hostkeys to a non-privileged user and tried to run sshd alongwith

sshd_config -> ChallengeResponseAuthentication
I was under the impression from the provided distribution version of the sshd_config file that "ChallengeResponseAuthentication" is supposed to default to "yes". Does anyone know if there are any circumstances, such as configure options, that might cause it to default to "no"? Thanks, Richard A. Secor rsecor at seqlogic.com Sequential Logic

[PATCH v2v] v2v: Remove extraneous '=' when setting --bandwidth/--bandwidth-file.
Commit c3a54d6aed6dfc65f9ffa59976bb8d20044c03a8 ("v2v: Add standalone nbdkit module.") was supposed to be a simple refactoring but it broke the --bandwidth and --bandwidth-file options (amongst other things). Because of an extra '=' character which was accidentally left over, it would add an extra character in the nbdkit-rate-filter command line. For example: virt-v2v ..
