911 and Cops knocking on my door
Hi, I am quite new to asterisk so I am not sure what is needed to figure out this problem. If more information is needed and not provided I will gladly provide it. I have a very basic asterisk setup. 1 x100p card and a grandstream handytone 286. I can make calls fine to most phone numbers from the handytone device the trouble seems to come when I dial this number 591-1079. It puts me through to

Traffic Control
So after reading the traffic control documentation at shorewall.net I am a little confused. I don''t understand how to use the tcrules file. What I would ideally like to do is setup htb on a per user basis (either by IP or MAC address). If anybody has any hints on the best way to do this or is willing to explain the use of tcrules file a little better (how I could mark it per IP or MAC)

RPM install issues
I am making a new box to test with and was trying to install shorewall via rpm. So I download the shorewall 2.2.5 rpm and issue a rpm -ivh shorewall-2.2.5-1.noarch.rpm. I then get an error: error: Failed dependencies: which is needed by shorewall-2.2.5-1.noarch So as you can see there are no dependency issues. I thought I saw this on the mailing list a while ago but I just searched for it I did

Shorewall and ChilliSpot
Has anybody on this managed to get ChilliSpot and Shorewall to work together? I have managed to get it to work with the supplied firewall script but if I wanted to do my firewall like that I would not be using Shorewall. At any rate, I am having all kinds of trouble translating the supplied rules to something that Shorewall would understand. If anybody has already done it I would love to see the

Windows 7 Can't Join Samba 3.5.4 PDC
Hi all, When trying to join a windows 7 box to a samba 3.5.4 acting as a PDC I am getting an error on the windows 7 box that says DNS_ERROR_NO_DNS_SERVERS (the full error log is included at bottom of mail). WinXP machines are able to join the domain fine, just not windows 7 boxes. My (sanitized) config is located is included at the bottom of the mail. I have tried doing the registry patches to

Public IP issues
I have had Shorewall 2.0.8 up and running for a month or so. Now I need to change some things around. Currently I am running on a private IP scheme and Shorewall is setup based on the 3 interface guide. Now I want to change to a public scheme on my "loc" zone. I have a /24 block of public IP''s. I need my private scheme and public to co-exist so I currently have is eth1 (local)

Urgent :) Procedure for replacing Gluster Node on 3.8.12
Status: We have a 3 node gluster cluster (proxmox based) - gluster 3.8.12 - Replica 3 - VM Hosting Only - Sharded Storage Or I should say we *had* a 3 node cluster, one node died today. Possibly I can recover it, in whcih case no issues, we just let it heal itself. For now its running happily on 2 nodes with no data loss - gluster for teh win! But its looking like I might have to replace the

[OT] Routing statements
So this is a little off topic but this list is so helpful!! Is this the correct way to split our /24 block up? Tom suggested something like this in an earlier post but that did not work either. So what should I change to make this work? Internet<===Shorewall Box===>router1<++++T1 Line++++>router2<==LAN I need a /28 on the Shorewall side of things and the rest on the LAN side of

Performance drop from 3.8 to 3.10
Upgraded recently from 3.8.15 to 3.10.5 and have seen a fairly substantial drop in read/write perfomance env: - 3 node, replica 3 cluster - Private dedicated Network: 1Gx3, bond: balance-alb - was able to down the volume for the upgrade and reboot each node - Usage: VM Hosting (qemu) - Sharded Volume - sequential read performance in VM's has dropped from 700Mbps to 300mbs - Seq Write

Finding performance bottlenecks
Hi I'm trying to setup a 3 node gluster, and am hitting huge performance bottlenecks. The 3 servers are connected over 10GB and glusterfs is set to create a 3 node replica. With a single VM performance was poor, but I could have lived with it. I tried to stress it by putting copies of a bunch of VMs on the servers and seeing what happened with parallel nodes.. network load never broke

Finding performance bottlenecks
Hi, So is the KVM or Vmware as the host(s)? I basically have the same setup ie 3 x 1TB "raid1" nodes and VMs, but 1gb networking. I do notice with vmware using NFS disk was pretty slow (40% of a single disk) but this was over 1gb networking which was clearly saturating. Hence I am moving to KVM to use glusterfs hoping for better performance and bonding, it will be interesting to see
