Hello I use Samba 4.0.9 and want to disable strong passwords. I've run: ./samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --complexity=off But it seems to not work. If users try to change password via ctrl+alt+del windows still require strong password. Restarting samba to commit change did not solve problem. Is there something i forgot? On my old configuration with old (RIP) server it worked

Hello I'm using samba4 rc1 since 2 months as PDC with samba4 internal DNS. Everything works but i can't ping domain clients even from samba machine. Clients are named as station00x.domain.lan where x is station number. But even on SambaPDC i can't ping it with for exapmle: ping station004.domain.lan or ping stacja003. I haven't tried this myself, but it looks like recent versions of OpenWRT use UCI, which seems to generate configuration files (including those for NUT) from a unified configuration syntax.

You can find tinc package in openwrt repo and install it with opkg or luci. But it is a little dangerous to update a remote machine from whiterussian to kamikaze or backfire, this may be usefull for others. I'm currently using tinc-1.1 with an Ed25519-only network, really like the new features and CLI and want to add some OpenWRT routers into the mix.
