Hello I use Samba 4.0.9 and want to disable strong passwords. I've run: ./samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --complexity=off But it seems to not work. If users try to change password via ctrl+alt+del windows still require strong password. Restarting samba to commit change did not solve problem. Is there something i forgot? On my old configuration with old (RIP) server it worked flawessly. Szymon

Disabling the complexity does not disable the minimum password length. Hi, I disabled the password complexity requirements in my domain via group policy. "Computer Configuration", "Windows Settings", "Security Settings", "Account Policies". There you can configure it exactly as you want. Best regards.
