Rsync 2.5.7 hangs after completion
I am having a problem with rsync hanging after completion. The command I
am using is: rsync -vaz --delete /banproc/ backenp650:/banproc (thanks jw
for the syntax correction)
There were 56 deletions on the destination and ~ 1380 files copied total (I
gathered these stats by using grep and wc -l on a saved file of my ssh
session to the source host). Below is the last couple of lines on my ssh

BAD rsync, or is it bad me?
Something very scary just happened to me while I was creating a ksh script
to rsync mulitple FS between two hosts. Here is the script, notice the 'i'
at the end of rsync line, it got put there by mistake. You also see the
contents of $FSLIST cat'd below the script. When I ran this, it started to
delete files in root's home directory and place files from the fist FS,

Rsync 2.5.7 --delete not working!!!
I am having a problem with rsync not deleting files on the destination that
no longer exist on the source. The command I am using is: rsync -vaz
--delete /bantemp/* backenp650:/bantemp
Once the two trees are in sync, if I add a file to the source, run rsync
again, it will copy over the one new file. If I delete the file on the
source, run rsync, the file still exists on the destination. I

Model (Y) from left-censored independant variable (s)
Hi all;
I'm trying to model a response variable (Y) from one (and eventually more...) independant left-censored variable (X*)
In other words, X* is a random variable with values 0 -> inf.
Thus, let c=0
X*= x if x>= c
X*= c if x< c
Does anyone knows a function or package in [R] enabling to model Y from a censored predictor X*?
Thanks for your help!

exit code 23 - inappropriate error for copying symlinks?
Hi,
I've just created a small directory as an example, it holds a file and
two symlinks that don't point to anything, and another symlink going
nowhere in a subdirectory.
rsync (2.5.5) is happy to copy these but produces an error. I can't
see why it considers this an error? It's not even aborting after it
first encounters this 'error'.

Rsync with non-english characters in filenames?
Hi,
I am trying to use rsync to migrate homefolders from one server to
another. For this I use:
> rsync --rsh="ssh -l root" -vaz beaucent.ling.umu.se:/export/home/ .
Which works fine until I get to some files where the user has,
unfortunatelly, used a non-ascii character in the file name:

Recompile (and re-link) a function at runtime using ORC JIT for an ARM platform
Hi,
We are making the move from legacy JIT (llvm-3.5.x) to ORC JIT and I am
looking to recompile (and re-link) functions at runtime for an ARM
platform (Odroid XU3) . I looked at OrcLazyJIT.cpp as a starting point.
However, after going through the code, it appears that the
createCompileCallbackMgr (llvm-3.8.0) /
createLocalCompileCallbackManager (llvm-git) do not support an ARM
triple yet.

Keyboard Interactive Attack?
I read an article today about keyboard interactive auth allowing bruteforcing.
I'm afraid I have minimal understanding of what keyboard-interactive really does. What does it do, and should I have my clients set it to off in sshd_config?

Port Knocking?
I haven't been keeping up with the internals, I'm afraid. Does OpenSSH have support for Port Knocking?
I might be interested in looking into that, as a way of reacquainting myself with the current code base.

Hi Iain. I haven't heard of this effort before. Can you give a few more details?
Thanks,
