Cross Compiling Samba 4.0.6 for ARM increases size of binaries
Hi, I have cross-compiled just the basic samba 4.0.6 using bitbake recipe for ARM, which succeeded. However the resulting binaries are large in size. I used the exact same configuration options in both the cases. There is at least a 10 fold increase in the smbd compared to native x86. --- Native x86 ---- -rwxr-xr-x 1 pranavd users 92979 May 31 10:57 /usr/sbin/smbd -rwxr-xr-x 1 pranavd users

Policy base forwarding issues
Hello All, I am trying to setup a linux box as a forwarding router based of src IP. The problem is that it does forward the pkts to the intended server specified in the ip rule, but it also forwards it to the original dst (dst specified in the pkt). Here is the setup: [10.1.0.166] [192.168.1.225] |

cross-compile samba4
Hi All, Are there any good, up-to-date hints out there for cross compiling Samba4 for Arm? I've looked at http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Waf#cross-compiling but the info is a little dated it appears. I'm looking to build for the dreamplug and based on the info on the wiki I've installed qemu and an arm toolchain but 'cross-execute' appears to be ignored. At least

[LLVMdev] Error building compiler-rt
yes I think that is correct. I wrote a simple program to print if sizeof(uintptr_t) != sizeof(unsigned char *) and when I compile with gcc -m64 and execute it on a 64-bit host (that is different from the 32-bit laptop on which I originally compiled the program), it says the sizes are not equal. Thanks Pranav On Thu, Aug 1, 2013 at 9:29 AM, Alexey Samsonov <samsonov at google.com> wrote:

Dear Alexey, Yes I am sure that the llvm, clang and compiler-rt are synced to the same version. I downloaded them all from git http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#git-mirror I think I need compiler-rt for my project but I'll verify it again to see if I can proceed without it. You are correct that compiler-rt is compiled with the just built clang. The complete command that gives an error

You can disable -Werror by adding the cmake flag -DLLVM_ENABLE_WERROR=OFF, which should let it just ignore that (that's also the default, so you must have turned it on somewhere) On Jul 31, 2013, at 13:09 , Pranav Garg <pranav.garg2107 at gmail.com> wrote: > Hi, > > I am trying to build llvm along with clang and compiler-rt. Hi Silky, If I got correctly, you seem to be trying to run a bare-metal image on your model, but you compile with linux-gnueabi GCC. I don't know if that will make a difference, but I'd try to use none-eabi GCC toolchain and set the -target armv7a-none-eabi just in case. Hi, I see that ENABLE_WERROR is being set to off (the default value) in the config.log in the llvm build. However on grepping for WERROR in the compiler-rt folder I get the following output: pranav at pranav:~/smack-project/llvm-3.4/src/projects/compiler-rt$ grep -Rin WERROR * lib/asan/tests/CMakeLists.txt:38: -Werror lib/asan/asan_malloc_mac.cc:253:// This function is currently unused, and we

Cross-compiling 4.3.2 for Intel/PowerPC causes Python errors
We've been trying to cross compile since 4.1 for PowerPC but were never able to get it to happen and was told it broke with the introduction of Waf. Now we're trying for the latest release, have read some things on the web improvements have been made in this area, but can't seem to get it to build. It appears it's trying to build samba ( we only use smbclient ) for Intel, and also

[LLVMdev] Running cross compiled binaries for ARM on gem5
Thanks Renato and Giang. I was able to run a simple HelloWorld program on gem5 (in SE mode) by using -target -arm-none-linux-gnueabi as the option during cross compilation. I am trying to cross compile some Computer Vision algorithms, which use OpenCV libraries, and I tried using the same command line options - clang++ *-emit-llvm -static -c -Wall -g -O0 -mfpu=vfp -mfloat-abi=soft

[LLVMdev] Running cross compiled binaries for ARM on gem5
Hi, I am trying to optimize some benchmarks using LLVM and run them on gem5 simulator (build for ARM). I am using Sourcery Codebench cross-compiler for ARM on my x-86 machine. My steps up till now have been using the following commands. 1. clang -static -emit-llvm -march=armv7-a -mfloat-abi=soft -target arm-elf a.cpp -c -integrated-as \
