Asterisk 1.8.x app_meetme.so
Hello,
I can't seem to use MeetMe app in asterisk versions beyond 1.8. Its source
file app_meetme.c is present in the apps dir. Also, I can find app_meetme
change-logs on the asterisk website. However, the dialplan doesn't have
this cmd. I have checked menuselect but it says it has been replaced by
app_confbridge.
Also, If that *is* the case, does ConfBridge (the newer version of meetme)

Re: why there havn't "app_meetme.so"fileaboutasterisk1.4.0?
Removed the DEPENDS_app_meetme=ZAPTEL from the file menuselect.makedeps And in menuselect.makeopts I removed the DEPSFAILED line that had meetme in it. It then compiled.

app_meetme not loading
I originally built my Asterisk server without installing the Zaptel package
as it was going to be a purely SIP based system. However when I went to
setup conferencing using meetme I found out that app_meetme is dependant on
the ztdummy for timing. I have now installed the zaptel package and I
believe the ztdummy module is loading ok

app_meetme.so
Hi all,
I'm using Asterisk 1.2.5 and , for some reason, when I install it, the
module app_meetme.so didn't install. Is there some way to download
that module, and add it to asterisk without re-install it?
Thanks in advance

Possible bug in app_meetme.c
Is this patch correct? The "&&" doesn't make logical sense to me. I think
it should be "||" and making this change fixes the problem I have with SIP
phones in MeetMe conferences. If it's correct, is there someplace more
formal that I should submit it to?

Detecting DTMF Tones from Muted app_meetme Participants
Hi, folks.
I have a problem using Asterisk 1.2. I create conferences using
app_meetme and Zap channels, and for every participant I run the script
defined by AGI_BACKGROUND_SCRIPT to be able to listen and react to DTMF
tones. As the docs tell me, when using the AGI background script one
loses the ability to control the meetme conference via the command line
so for muting conference participants I

Asterisk 11, CEL and ConfBridge recordings
Dear friends,
Need to know filenames of conference recordings in Asterisk 11.
Besides directory scanning the recordings could use CEL:
Filter MySQL rows with eventtype equal CHAN_START and channame like
ConfBridgeRecorder and then get the eventtime field and convert to
timestamp to complete filename(s).
Would you suggest any other approaches?
Thanks.

Is it possible to record 2-4 party call audio in stereo quality as opposed to mono?
We have a customer who wants us to record anywhere from 2-4 participants on a call in stereo (as opposed to mono) quality audio.
Some background..
We are using asterisk 16.6.1
We are also currently using AMI/AsyncAGI and ConfBridge to bring the parties together. I believe recording in the various file formats (based on extension), it's always recording in mono quality.
My one thought is to

Yes, DAHDI is a timing source and meetme depends on DAHDI for voice
mixing. You can check details here

Video phone crashing meetme on asterisk 1.4.
Hello,
I am running asterisk 1.4. For argument's sake I have 4 telephones. 2
support video, 2 do not.
Calls between phones work fine and codecs are properly negociated. I
have videosupport=yes in sip.conf and when the two video phones
communicate I have video.
I call meet me with this command
EXEC MEETME 1234|d
SIP looks like this :

MeetMe: lots of buffer overruns/underruns when connecting over IAX
Hello,
Situation: I've got two asterisk 1.2.4 servers, connected to each
other over the internet with IAX2 with about 20msec delay.
One of the servers is hosting MeetMe. It's working fine as long as
only SIP phones connected to the meetme server participate in the
conference. As soon as a participant using IAX2 is connecting, lots

how to join calls - not barge?
I'd like to have an extension "join" a call. That is, C can join A and
B, just as if it were an analog extension phone.
ChanSpy works, sort of. The problem is that once A or B hangs up, the
channel is gone. With an analog extension, C would remain connected with
B if A hung up.
Can I throw A and B into a confbridge and then add C? Create a new
channel that grabs the A

Location of MeetMe Recordings
In Asterisk 1.2.4 is love being able to recording conferences. However,
using the default variables, the files are being written to
/var/lib/asterisk/sounds instead of /var/spool/asterisk/meetme.
If I change MEETME_RECORDINGFILE variable to something different in works,
bit I lose the ability to define CONFNO as part of the file name, which is
handy when sorting for users to review. I call meetme
