Mysterious Javascript showing up & trashing page
Every time I edit a particular page, a bit of javascript myseteriously
shows up when I save it. After that, the page does not lie correctly,
and the items at the end of the list are covered over by elements from
the stylesheet. The script is as follows:

missing def file in vorbis win32 build stuff
I was just trying to build the shared lib stuff and include it into RC4
of FreeAmp 2.1 today, but I found that the .def file for the vorbis
build stuff is missing and therefore no .lib file is generated.
Is there a reason for that, or is it just an omission? In any case, I
will hold off on the latest and greatest vorbis stuff in FreeAmp until
next week....

Newbie questions about Voice mail
I am totally ignorant about actually using asterisk for any purpose. I
have read some of the docs but not all. I am currently doing a telephone
audit for my company and one of the issues is voice mail. We are spending
quit a bit of money with our telco for voice mail services and I was
wondering about using asterisk as just a voice mail system. We are not
quite ready to move to a full VOIP

Instantiating middleman and worker from inside a model?
In short: how (if possible) would i go about arranging it so that i
can instantiate a middleman and set a worker going from within a
method in one of my models? or is this a weird thing to be wanting to
do? (
My specific situation: I have an ''Image'' model in my application. An
actual image file associated with the model is being stored on
amazons s3 system.

Samba4 Android port and Python auth modules
Hello All,
First post. Just ported Samba4 to a native Android/ARM platform -- quite a bit more work than Samba3. Moved to Samba4 to pick up AD support.
The smb and nmb daemons fire up and appear to operate correctly, at least as good as Samba3. However, when trying to use samba-tool to create/list users, etc. I run into the following:

iGoogle-style Widgets with Script.aculo.us?
I''d like to create an iGoogle-style page with a library of draggable
layout widgets. Is such a thing using script.aculo.us already
available? (Would hate to re-invent it.) Also, has anyone had success
with nested draggables? For example, rearranging <div>s within an
already draggable <div>?

integer pcm decode patch
Hi!
I've spent the last few nights digging into the Vorbis source and working
to implement a vorbis_synthesis_pcmout_int() function that kicks out
interleaved int16_t pcm data.
I think its important to have this function available to make the
job for people using the codec a little easier. This function abstracts
out the conversion to int16_t and removes the extra overhead of
moving the pcm

RDF Metadata Specification
I've put together the first attempt to defining an RDF metadata
vocabulary for use with the CD Index/MusicBrainz/OggVorbis. If you care
about metadata issues, please take a look at:
http://www.cdindex.org/MM
I've included a section for video specific stuff, but everything that I
originally had in there is being covered by the MM:Contributors section.
The Contributors stuff will allow

Getting results from a dead worker. example?
I''m having a little difficulty understanding how to retrieve results
from deceased workers (from the documentation it seems that it is
possible to do this).
I pasted my simple test below. If anyone could point out what i
should be doing differently i''d be very grateful.

Vorbis source development status
Now that a few folks of the appropriate technical background are listening (and
that a couple more I'm expecting to join in a bit can grab this message from
the archive), it seems prudent to start talking about where Vorbis is and what
it needs. I'll assume at this point everyone knows what Vorbis is; stop me if
I'm wrong ;-)

Hello
Hi,
I am interested in helping out with the project. What tasks are on the
TODO list? I am one of the lead developers of the FreeAmp
(www.freeamp.org) project so obviously I will create a decoder plugin
for our player but I would also like to help out with the Vorbis CODEC
itself.

Metadata
Having not been reading the list regularly for the past few months, I've
been reading through for the past few days trying to catch up. I was
wondering what the current state of Vorbis metadata was. Has anything
been agreed upon as far as how metadata is to be stored? It seems every
time this was brought up before it turned into a large debate and nothing
was ever resolved.

Problems with the beta4 rpms
The beta4 rpms from the vorbis.com site do not install the link to
libogg.so.0:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 Mar 16 18:24 libogg.so.0 -> libogg.so.0.1.0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 16269 Feb 26 04:53 libogg.so.0.1.0
The source dist does it correctly:

Decode questions
Sorry, to interrupt the license flame war...
I downloaded the source from CVS as of 11am this morning and there are
a couple of issues that I ran into:
1) I built the package and then in the examples dir I executed the
following commands:
# cdparanoia -B 1-1
# ./encoder-example < track01.cdda.wav > test.vor
# ./decoder-example < test.vor > out.wav
The rip and the encode both work

UTF-8 to ISO 8859-1 converter
I've got a bug pending for FreeAmp right now where the vorbis metadata
plugin does not handle international characters right. The comments that
are returned from vorbis_comment_query() are in UTF-8, but FreeAmp is
ISO 8859-1. I've been looking for a UTF-8 --> ISO 8859-1 converter that
is available for inclusion in a GPL/LGPL program and is reasonably
small. There are many full blown

BTW, I need a volunteer to upgrade xiph.org to MailMan or the like. I'm
officially sick to death of majordomo.
(Or, if you want to code all the features I want in majordomo, that's fine too
;-) I'm a little bit out of time, see....

Thoughts on vorbisfile
Hi all,
While reading through various bits of libvorbis and vorbisfile, and then
thinking about how to implement other features in the xmms and winamp
plugins, I had some thoughts...
Vorbisfile is very useful, and very easy to use. It is, however, tied to
stdio - which means you can't use it for lots of other stuff where it'd be
useful - like streaming, or (under win32) avoiding stdio
