Installing CentOS security updates to RHEL machines? (RHN subscription expired)
Hello,
I hope my question is not annoying. I work as sysadmin
at a 400 users firm and we have around 20 CentOS 4/5
servers and VMs and CentOS is awesome, thank you!
However we have 4 important SAP-servers running RHEL5
and our RHN subscription has unforunately expired and
buying it again is not an option right now. Installing CentOS is
not an option too, because we'd have to pay for

public folder subscriptions sync issue with ldap user/group in dovecot-acl
Hello people,
I am having an issue with 'doveadm sync'. I am currently trying to have
two dovecots behind an haproxy (works fine). Therefore I configured
these two dovecot server (imap-1/imap-2) to sync throught dsync. This
works just partly. The sync of the maiboxes is fine, but the sync of the
subscriptions file just works partly. It works for private folder
subscription, but not

Paypal and subscriptions
Does anyone have any experience with subscriptions and PayPal?
I''m currently weighing up the options of what payment system to use for
an upcoming project which is subscription based and am not sure if
PayPal is capable of doing what I want and if I need to setup a merchant
account instead.
Basically it''s the same kind of payment structure as BaseCamp. 3 or 4

system that has been successfully done and then do something else
depending on the payment.

subscriptions vs mailboxlist
Is there a way to change the name of the .subscriptions file that
dovecot looks for to .mailboxlist to be compatible with WU-IMAP? It
would be handy for testing and conversion if you had that.
BTW - I'm a new user and your software is very well designed.

Copying SIP Subscriptions
I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this, but...
Is there a way to copy/transfer/replicate sip subscriptions from one asterisk system to another, for the purposes of HA? You coudln't even write a script to do it I don't think. You can do an 'asterisk -rx sip show subscriptions' but there'd be no way to repopulate it on a second system. Yes/No?

dovecot? putting wrong seperator in subscriptions file
My config has folders show up in the root namespace as well as
hidden ones like mail/ for compat. In thunderbird when I set the
namespace prefix to mail/, I effectively cannot subscribe to folders.
You can pull up the folder list, select some folders to subscribe to,
hit okay, and nothing changes in thunderbird:
3 subscribe "mail/Spam"
3 OK Subscribe completed.

Bug: subscriptions file does not take on the same perms as dovecot-shared
All,
Version: 1.1.rc5
Solaris x86 on ZFS
Shared Folder
Bug, renamed a folder with sub folders (Maildir format)
After the rename the subscriptions file is own by the person who
renamed the folders, and access is owner rw only.
Instead it should be the same as dovecot-shared which would general be
rw owner, and rw group for a shared folder.
Cheers
Damon.

2.1.1: subscriptions: Removing invalid entry
Admittedly, it's not a valid folder name and dovecot is right in
removing it:
Feb 28 17:50:05 postamt dovecot: imap(kbaessle): Warning: Subscriptions file /home/k/b/kbaessle/Maildir/subscriptions: Removing invalid entry: Entw?rfe
...but when looking at the subscription file AFTER the removal, that file
contained an empty line. I don't think that's correct.

Feature request: don't allow subscriptions to deleted mail boxes
Hello,
Due to Thunderbird's mailbox deletion problem I was able to remove a
mailbox while keeping the subscription. This was hugely annoying as
Thunderbird is totally incapable of removing the subscription, even
though the mailbox is long gone. It took me a while before I found a
work around: I had to actually log in and remove a line from the
.subscriptions file. You will probably get

.mailboxlist -> .subscriptions
I've mostly finished a conversion from an old Centos 3 UW-Imap server to
a new Centos 6 dovecot server. I did not copy the old ~/.mailboxlist
file to ~/mail/.subscriptions file, but notice some users have the
latter file now. These are all mbox folders on the old and new server.
I'm getting ready to do the same to another old/new pair of servers and
I'm wondering if there is an

dsync convert Maildir -> mdbox, separators in subscriptions file
Hello,
I'm playing around with Dovecot 2.0 beta 4.
If I use dsync to convert a users mail stored in Maildir format to mdbox format, the subscriptions file in the new mdbox is created using the wrong mailbox separator ('.') leading to folders within folders not being readable by clients using the subscription feature.

Bug: subscriptions file
Sorry for top posting, my client is still broken.
I have never seen the ghost of a "system-alerts" or similar "well-known" mail folder in the past 30 years.
Compliance with an RFC obscure feature is compellong us all to clear subscriptions fol ders by hand.
As we meet the problem over and over again, a non-RFC configuration option could solve the problem, and it would be

Getting IOAPIC errors in xl dmesg on old hardware
I am getting a series of IOAPIC errors in xl dmesg on a Dell OptiPlex
GX100 machine (bought in 2000). I also get an error from traps.c which
is very similar to the one in the ''Getting mm.c errors from xl dmesg on
certain hardware'' thread. This happens during system startup with no
DomUs running. I have attached the xl dmesg log.

Is it possible to force a subscription to an IMAP folder? So that a user
