This is turning a bit into a hate-thread against Airtime. Personally, I am not much of a hater (although sometimes I make exceptions, depending on how my day is), but I will say that Airtime is a pain-to-maintain on your server. It's pretty bloated as well; correct me if I'm wrong (this dates back to when I tried it with version 1.5 and 1.6 and 2.0 was in the works) - Zend PHP framework

CentOS AutoDJ Problem
Hello, ?here are my personal suggestions on the matter. I will stick to the Icecast and streaming part of it, as other questions in your message regard the difference between Linux distributions in general (CentOS is one flavor of Linux, different from Ubuntu or Debian). Note that there are many other solutions available. 2014-03-03 15:07 GMT+01:00 Jo se <kulturu01 at gmail.com>: >

Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hi Thomas, > Do you have the infrastructure to stay current and rebuild e.g. on > dependency changes? Yes, we use pbuilder-dist for this. We are providing backports of related packages including liquidsoap, silan (a new silence detector application), and libopus0, as well as Airtime itself. > Actually I now wonder if using OBS could make this task easier. Packages of icecast 2.4-beta?
Hello, At Sourcefabric we are testing Opus streams from the Airtime broadcast automation system via Icecast 2.4-beta. Other developers in our community are testing video streaming with Theora. We would like to make it easier for our users to try this Icecast beta themselves. Would it be premature for us to release a backported .deb package of icecast 2.4-beta for Debian and Ubuntu, or would the

Icecast statistics dashboard with Piwik
Hi all, I often hear requests for a modern, open source analytics dashboard for use with Icecast. I wrote up some step-by-step instructions for using Piwik with Icecast log files here: http://sourcefabric.booktype.pro/airtime-25-for-broadcasters/icecast-statistics-with-piwik/ Hopefully this is useful. We are also hearing good things about Kibana, but I personally haven't tried it yet:

Hiya! And a question...
New to the list (and forum, but waiting for a moderator to approve - hence my question here) but not new to icecast. I have a question - I'm running an Airtime install with Icecast - and yes I asked them first but this has flummoxed them over at Sourcefabric - anyone had a problem with a HQ (192kbs) stream rebuffering every few seconds during a FTP/SSH upload to a remote streaming server?

We can provide a wiki page on that, sure, although we would probably go one step further and actually provide the packages for our target distros too (Debian stable/testing and Ubuntu 10.04/12.04 LTS). > a PPA approach might be
