Hi, I installed two linux VMs in XenServer 6.0, one is CentOS 5.5 and the other is Ubuntu 10.04, both of which are HVMs. I install xenserver tools many times and the packages are installed, but XenCenter keeps telling me that "Xenserver tools is not installed". Are xenserver tools of linux intended only for PV vm? I am not familiar with xenserver and need help.Thanks! Best Regards,

One of the cluster nodes (XS 5.6 SP2/not master) became unresponsive to XAPI calls being sent from a CloudStack management server. In the past, a simple xe-toolstack-restart would do the trick but the script timed out while restarting the XAPI daemon. Hi Rob, I'm not sure you will get much pleasure out of VirtualBox on that hardware. It sits completely on top of the OS and it will grab most of the resources, even hogging from the OS. And it will run very hot. The Xen hypervisor (incl. XenServer, XCP-NG) is very resource efficient and with Linux guests (PV or PVHVM), it will run very smoothly. The same applies to KVM.
