Convert MBOX
To all, I am using dovecot --version 1.0.10 and trying to convert MBOXes to MailDir's with the end goal of creating one folder filled with users old MBOXes that when they log in for the first time will be converted to Mail Dir format. I tried this and it did not work and gave me this output; <snip> default_mail_env = maildir:%h/mail/ #convert_mail =

DoveCot LDA prefetch fails with LDA, works with POP client
Hi there, I am using DoveCot 1.0.7. I know it is real old, but we have to work with it. I have configured LDAP lookup with password prefetch in DoveCot. I can successfully receive emails through DoveCot, thus proving my password prefetch and user authentication are good. The problem is when I use Postfix to deliver message to DoveCot via LDA. My postfix master.cf looks like this: dovecot

Mbox corruption - Inbox beginning with 'FFrom'
I have two accounts where the inboxes sometimes get corrupted. In that case they begin with "FFrom". I saw similar reports in July/August last year. So I applied the patch http://dovecot.org/pipermail/dovecot/attachments/20100720/e87b32ae/attachment-0001.bin Yesterday a mbox corruption happened again. Here are the log lines. SunOS pop01.unix 5.10 Generic_118844-26 i86pc i386 i86pc dovecot-1.0.beta3 It is most likely something I am doing wrong, but could someone take a look at why I can not get LDAP prefetch to work? auth_default_realm for different listeners
We provide POP3 service for several realms, each of which has a substantial number of users logging in with no realm (bare username). We would like to use Dovecot, but I haven't been able to findout how to vary auth_default_realm for each listener. My most recent attempt was to set up one auth {} block for each realm with a different auth_default_realm and socket master path. I then set up

cram-md5 problem re-post
I apparently did not post enough information the first time, so I am re-posting the original email with the requested configs. I just updated to dovecot 1.1.10 from 1.1.2 and now anyone using cram-md5 can't get authenticated. I am using mysql for passwords (in plain text) and home directories. Per some googling I tried to set (in /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf): # SQL database userdb

Dovecot 2.0b4 configuration issue, listen config option?
Hi, In my 1.2 setup I have pop3 running on ip x.x.x.2 and imap on x.x.x.7 In 2.0 how do I say listen x.x.x.2:110 x.x.x.7:143 so that pop3 is not listening on the .7 ip? I tried putting a listen = ip in the listener section but it complained. I cant figure it out and cant seem to find any 2.0 specific documentation, trying to search in the wiki directory of /usr/local/share/doc/dovecot/wiki but
