Smartjog patchs
Hello, I work for the company Smartjog (http://smatjog.com/) where we use a modified version of Icecast. We would like to contribute back those patchs, and hopefully have them merged in the official repository. I have posted them on the patch tracker, so feel free to leave a comment on them. Some of those patch are based on the work done by Niv Sardi (see

You don't check for malloc failure

On linux, the only way to get an error when calling malloc() is to disable memory-overcommiting. On regular linux systems, this is the _only_ way for malloc() to return NULL. If an icecast process reaches that point, it's screwed anyway it won't be able to do

Proxy Arp Ip Conflicts
I must have something configured wrong somewhere. I''ve enabled proxy-arp on my shorewall 2.0.7 firewall. Works fine for what its supposed to do, I can see all the machines through it great. However, whenever its enabled, the network on the DMZ goes screwy. I''ve narrowed it down to this: when proxy arp is enabled for that interface, like such: echo 1 >

Samba, pam, NIS and password changes
Hi I have a customer who is having a problem with Samba password changes. The samba server (server12) is set up as a PDC for a WIndows domain with XP clients. Samba is Version 3.0.26a-SerNet-RedHat. OS is Centos 3.9. There is also a separate mail server (server56) running FC6 which uses NIS for user validation. NIS server is running on server12. Generally speaking, everything is working and

smbd write failure, kernel
Hello! I have samba 3.0.23c-2 installed on Fedora Core 7. Smbd and nmbd daemons start automotically with computer via commands in rc.local: smbd -D nmbd -D But there is one problem. When smbd starts via rc.local, it can't write files to the disk. And when I start it myself, everything is fine. smbd.log: [2007/05/21 09:49:06, 0] lib/util_sock.c:write_data(562) write_data: write failure

A lot less stability!
Hey, In my quest to solve bug 13815 I had to change the API quite a bit. And while I was at it, I also made swfdec-gtk use the upcoming libsoup 2.4 and changed the include dirs to "swfdec" instead of "libswfdec". All in all, the API changed quite a bit and I hope it didn't cause too much instability. Have fun finding crashers. Cheers, Benjamin

As I already wrote, I've definitely checked the networking, and that's all fine. There are no network packets generated by winbind when

Setting Battery Runtime Low
Dear All, We have an Eaton 9395 UPS, with a ConnectUPS Web/SNMP card. I've successfully configured NUT to talk to the SNMP card, however it reports a battery.runtime.low of 1 , not much use, how do I change this value, is it defined by the UPS itself, the SNMP card, or NUT ? Output of upsc below. Cheers Stuart rcs-manage-1:~ # !upsc upsc phys-eaton ambient.temperature: 27.0
