dynamic DNS Updates still failing, re-installed 9 more times, tried everything I could think of, now bald.
I have tried everything, This is CentOS 6.4 with SELinux DISABLED, Bind version BIND 9.8.2rc1-RedHat-9.8.2-0.17, samba 4.0.6 downloaded as a tar.gz from samba.org -- I have read EVERY maillinglist, IRC Log, how-to on google, tutorial on samba.org, and many many people have had this problem and not once have any of the posters resolved it, so I am now a desperate man reaching out to you with as

[samba4] Build requires libncurses-dev
I tried building the latest master from git on debian wheezy. It seems to require libncurses-dev. I thought to add it into the wiki as a required package to install, but it seems one needs to ask for a login to the wiki. No prob ;) Could someone add it to the wiki? Or is this an unintentional dependency that will be removed? -- Michael De Groote ICT-coordinator Sint-Pietersschool Korbeek-Lo

samba4 & (domain) dfs
Hi all I'm trying to set up dfs for (among other things) profiles (i don't know if this is a good example, but that is out of the scope of my current question) I've been following these instructions: http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/msdfs.html http://us.generation-nt.com/answer/samba-domain-dfs-samba-4-help-209347402.html as well as the hints given in the

Please Help! Dynamic DNS just will not work: " failed gss_inquire_cred: GSSAPI error: Major = Unspecified GSS failure"
I just can't seem to get dynamic DNS updates working on CentOS 6.4 with samba 4.0 .tar.gz from samba.org using BIND9_DLZ. If I run bind 9.8.2.rc1 in debug mode and go to a domain joined windows client and run 'ipconfig /registerdns' this is what I get in my console: 31-May-2013 23:51:06.520 client 10.0.0.106#54352: new TCP connection 31-May-2013 23:51:06.520 client 10.0.0.106#54352:

Samba 3 dynamically enable or disable share
Hello, ? ?I wonder if it is possible to dynamically enable/disable samba 3 shares.? Here is my problem.? On a remote server I have 4 removable hard drives, large capacity. I am not using any RAID/JBOD, so each drive is mounted individually (like /mnt/DISK1, /mnt/DISK2 etc) and each drive is individually shared, something like: [STORAGE01] path = /mnt/DISK1 Guest OK = false ... [STORAGE02]

ntp and samba4
Hi all Recently i noticed that upon starting the samba4 'samba' daemon, that it changes the group ownership of the socket for ntpd to *staff* $ls -l /usr/local/samba/var/lib/ntp_signd/ total 0 srwxrwxrwx 1 root *staff* 0 May 6 16:35 socket The documentation says it needs to be *ntp*.... (FYI: i'm running this on debian wheezy) I have just added ntp to group staff, but that seems

S-Plus compatability...
Dear all, I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction to solve a problem I've encountered. I have a set of S-plus scripts which call an external program to analyse the data (the external program is called Genehunter and is used for genetic analysis). There are a six scripts in total, five of which are called from the main script. I made a few changes like changing

[LLVMdev] LLVM Hello Pass load error when using opt -load Hello.so
I'm running into a completely different problem. When I do: opt -load LowerFastInvoke.o -help I get the message: Error opening 'LowerFastInvoke.o': LowerFastInvoke.o: only ET_DYN and ET_EXEC can be loaded? Am I missing something?

[LLVMdev] LLVM Hello Pass load error when using opt -load Hello.so
Thanks, Shu, I guess I haven't updated since my post went out. There are actually 2 problems: 1. mis-compilation: My LLVM-2.5 turned out to be mis-compiled using gcc-4.4.0 (surprise to me) on Debian4-32b. I tried a few different compilers, and gcc-4.0.4 (a relatively old one, again surprised me) seems to work out fine. Question: is there a good/quick/reliable way to figure out whether a

[LLVMdev] LLVM Hello Pass load error when using opt -load Hello.so
Hey Chuck, I'm afraid I can't reproduce your error but...a problem you may run into later is that opt will complain with opt: llvm/lib/VMCore/Pass.cpp:149: void<unnamed>::PassRegistrar::RegisterPass(const llvm::PassInfo&): Assertion `Inserted && "Pass registered multiple times!"' failed. Aborted I "fixed" this by replacing the LLVMLIBS line in

Really Really Important
Now that I''ve got you attention ;-) Of course I am talking about favicon.ico It doesn''t seem to be working. RAILS_ENV => production (apache 2 w/fastcgi) webrick run environment development neither of them seem to deliver public/favicon.ico normally, on apache, I would put it in /var/www/html/favicon.ico and it works (RHEL) Is there a trick for this or does ruby routes
