replicating sysvol with windows DCs
I have samba4 set up as an AD DC, and it's working well. It is one of
3 Domain controllers in a domain, the other two being Windows 2008r2. I
followed https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC
One thing I that could be improved on the wiki is information about
SysVol replication when there are Windows DCs as peers to samba. I've

replicating sysvol with windows DCs
The easiest solution/workaround would be to make all the changes to the policies on one oft he Windows DC's and then use rsync to replicate them to samba.

I've then tried to INSTALL and check a package.

Samba4 AD/DC Replication
Hi folks!
I'm having some trouble replicating a domain.
I followed the steps in this guide:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC
I followed the steps and everything worked fine for me.
but...
If I make changes on the PDC, these changes are replicated to the Secondary
DC, but if I make changes to the Secondary, these are not seen in the PDC.
Is there any way

Replication issue
I have a server that is not replicating correctly, but passes all the tests listed here: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO/Join_a_domain_as_a_DC
In particular running
# host -t CNAME 976c9c86-288d-483e-baec-7043a9c4a6cd._msdcs.ncs.k12.de.us
976c9c86-288d-483e-baec-7043a9c4a6cd._msdcs.ncs.k12.de.us is an alias for ncssamba2.ncs.k12.de.us.
returns correct information on all DCs.

Samba4 Multi-Master replication
Hi guys,
I'm trying to get the Samba4 multi-master replication to work.
I set up the primary domain controller using this howto (under CentOS
6.2 x64):
http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/HOWTO
I installed bind 9.8.3 and enabled encrypted dns updates.
I set up another VM with the same CentOS version and oriented myself on

Hello,
I've just installed in two Debian 7 servers the latest Samba 4

Developmen state Samba as ADDC?
Hi everybody,
I read about the development state ... samba as an ad domain controller
and that many functions / group policies have been implemented. Still,
there is some work in progress.
Is there a documentation where I can look up the functions not
implemented yet?

Samba AD replication on new installation of Samba 4.0
Hi,
Fantastic that Samba 4.0 has been released, I've just installed and joined it to an existing AD (single Win2k8R2 server running Exchange). The installation seemed to go well but I'm seeing odd messages when I show the replication status on both the Samba server and the Win2k8R2 server. Is there something I missed in the install? I followed the instructions outlined at

Any ESRI users? Upgrade 3.0.14 to 3.0.21a broke Arcmap layer loading?
We just upgraded our samba server from 3.0.14 to 3.0.21a and have discovered
a subtle but very painful problem.
Users of ESRI ArcMap (on fully patched Windows XP clients) are unable to
read complex layered file data.
Arcmap works fine with 3.0.14, it works fine with the data on a windows
share, and it works fine when I set up a server to run the version of samba
shipping with Solaris 9 (3.0.2! ).

Connecting to 1.9.18p10 from DOS boot diskette
I'm trying to connect to aSamba 1.9.18p10 share on my HP-UX 10.20 host, using an MS-DOS boot diskette (well, actually a Windows 95 boot diskette, but relying on the DOS-style protocol stack, etc.).
When I issue the same username and password that I use to connect to that share from my Windows NT client, I get an invalid password message.
Two things come to mind: is the DOS client sending my

Did not hear from anyone on this, so maybe we are the only ESRI users who
got bit, but this turned out to be an issue with oplocks. Disabling oplocks
on the server eliminated the problem.
