Looks like I can reproduce this pretty easily, this happened upon ssh'ing into the server while I had a VM migrating into it. The system goes completely unresponsive (can't even

teql load balancing on tap devices
Hello list, I''d like to use teql with tap devices (two OpenVPN tunnels). This works, but the doc /usr/src/linux-<version>/net/sched/sch_teql.c says: "1. Slave devices MUST be active devices, i.e., they must raise the tbusy signal and generate EOI events. If you want to equalize virtual devices like tunnels, use a normal eql device." I can''t find if tap devices

10MiB/s is normal tap:aio:file.raw ?
Hi there I am analyzing disk performance. I'm testing raw (tap: aio) and lvm (phy :). The tests I'm doing on a SLES11SP3, cpu I7, 4GBRam, disco-SATAII 7200rpm. With phy: lvm achievement 70-80MiB / s (an acceptable value) With tap: aio: file.raw achievement 5-9MiB / s, which is very low ... 10MiB / s is what you should expect access to a tap: aio: file.raw? or I have something

netloop vs tap
Hi, I''m playing with xen from a couple of weeks, all standard configurations work fine within my suse box. But trying to become closer to the xen philosophy I can''t understand the issues which drown developers to use netloop module instead of the tap one. thank''s in advance _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list

HMV domU creating Tap device?!
Hey all, I have a script that sets up MRTG to collect bandwidth for the VM''s based on there vm name. This is done via the domain config vif = [''vifname=''Testing'',] line and mrtg collects all data on a network card named Testing. My issue here is that for a HVM domain... there are two interfaces that are being created. One Testing and another tab$number.0

No disk devices with tap:aio
Hello! First, I must mention that I am not too experienced with virtual machines, so please be gentle :-) It''s my first experiment, and I''ve been working on getting things to work during the past weeks. I''m getting close, but now it seems I''m completely stuck. I''m in the process of testing Xen with Open Nebula, but I have run into some problems.

Hello xen-users, I am trying to access a guest disk that was created using qcow-create from dom0 using xl block-attach/block-detach, which appears to be the current "Xen way" of doing it. However, after the following command, no /dev/xvdb is appearing: $ xl block-attach 0 tap:qcow2:/home/root/images/test.img xvdb I am using Xen 4.1.2 (installed from source tarball) with an Ubuntu
