initial metacity theme support for compiz
I just pushed some code into the compiz repository for initial metacity theme support. It's not complete, left and right borders are not rendered correctly, button decorations doesn't always match event window locations, maximized and shaded windows are not rendered as when running metacity, button locations are not configurable as with metacity... but it still seem to look OK with most

Re[2]: --link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
Ok, thanks. I removed --inplace and --append-verify and kept --link-dest and --partial. And now the script works exactly as I want: hard-links are not updated, the script is still robust and can copy large files over unstable links etc, etc. == Askar Safin http://vk.com/safinaskar Kazan, Russia

Re[2]: --link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
I don't specify --partial-dir. As you can see from the script, rsync at first copies to "in-progress", and then renames this to (for example) 2014-12-01-000000. So, if rsync interrupts, then at the next run the script will end "in-progress" (all partial files will be done) and then will rename this dir to 2014-12-01-000000. So, there never will be partial files in finished

Re[2]: --link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
No. Now there is no --inplace. So, rsync will never write new file directly into old one (without unlinking). If there already is old file and it needs updating, then rsync will write into something like .file-He4gw, and then it will rename this file to its right name. This new file will not have any hardlinks to old files == Askar Safin http://vk.com/safinaskar Kazan, Russia

This is OK for me. I care about file contents, not metadata. == Askar Safin http://vk.com/safinaskar Kazan, Russia

Locking Zoom, yet manipulating window?
I a rather dependent upon the Enhanched Zoom Desktop tool. It allows me to zoom into a part of the screen and see it clearly, with the zoomed part of the screen following the mouse. However, there are times when I need the screen to remain where it is (not to pan with the mouse), and the only way that I've found to do that is with the "Toggle zoom area lock" option. When this option

place plugin
The place plugin has a bug: when compiz is restarted or started to replace another wm it the windows are placed in weird positions ( titlebar behind the panel etc.) shouln't the place plugin loop over all open windows and place them correctly when loaded? this should solve this issues. any reason why this isn't done? have I missed something or is this just a bug?

--link-dest --inplace updates files without unlinking. What to do?
Hi. This is bug report and simultaneously urgent asking for help. I am trying to write my rsync wrapper script, which will create minutely snapshots of my data using --link-dest. I want this script to be robust, it should work even if I do suspend/hibernate/reboot without notifying the script about this actions, it should work if I make hard-reset of the computer and if I disconnect network. solving plugin dependency issues
The dependency checking currently provided is clearly not good enough. There's currently two issues with the plugins that exist in the compiz repository. plane plugin conflicts with cube and rotate plugin, zoom plugin should probably work with either cube or plane but currently only loads when cube plugin is used. Adding a { CompPluginRuleBefore, "cube" } to the plane plugin and a
