initial metacity theme support for compiz
I just pushed some code into the compiz repository for initial metacity
theme support. It's not complete, left and right borders are not
rendered correctly, button decorations doesn't always match event window
locations, maximized and shaded windows are not rendered as when running
metacity, button locations are not configurable as with metacity... but
it still seem to look OK with most

metacity theme support in gnome-window-decorator
I played a little bit yesterday with adding metacity theme support to
gwd and it looks like it's not going to be very hard. Hopefully I'll
have it working in the next couple of days. What I've done is to rip out
all the parts of the metacity code that is required for theme support
(boxes.c, gradient.c, theme-parser.c, theme.c, util.c). Ideal would be
if we could put this part of

Two issues
Hi. I have just installed latest git vanilla compiz under fedora core 6
and I have run into two problems:
1. Metacity theme support does not work. As soon as I type in
gconftool-2 -s /apps/gwd/use_metacity_theme -t bool true
the window border disappears. I have tried it both under KDE and
Gnome with the same result. the window border can be brought back by
setting the above value back to false.

gtk-window-decorator metacity opacity theme
hi,
I made a small a patch for gtk-window-decorator which define default
border alpha to zero when it use metacity theme.
That allows while playing with the alpha attributes of the metacity
themes to have transparent borders. here too the modified ?Human Ubuntu?
theme and a screenshot to show the result.
ps: sorry for my bad english

GWD button drawing prob-- any Cairo pro have insights?
Since I first tried nVidia's AIGLX with Compiz I've been seeing some pretty
consistent drawing problems on GWD's minimize and maximize buttons on hover.
It looks like part of the fill is drawn with low alpha. I haven't been able to
duplicate it when using Xgl... Here's a quick vid of what I'm seeing:

Bottom panel on new C7.3
Hi All,
I run these commands for previous 7.2 to hide the bottom panel.
gconftool-2 -t int --list-type int --set
/apps/panel/toplevels/bottom_panel/auto_hide_size 0
gconftool-2 -t bool --list-type bool --set
/apps/panel/toplevels/bottom_panel/auto_hide true
It does not seem to be working any more... I am seeing the panel.
Thoughts?

AIGLX Support with nVidia 9625 Drivers
Hello,
I'm on a Gentoo machine with the latest beta nVidia 9625 Drivers,
trying to get Compiz to work with AIGLX... simply running 'compiz', or
even with the addition of any options other than version, causes
compiz to detect that it is indeed not XGL, and then segmentation
faults... please note that I have only currently tried this with
Compiz-Quinnstorm (the latest package available

Gtk-Window-Decorator Problem
Hi,
There is a strange bug in gwd. When using compiz, after some time all window decorations become non-responsive.
All buttons on the decoration become non-clickable and I can't move any window. Also the decoration color stays in
an unfocused state, but I can focus all windows. After that point if i open new windows, they have a decoration bar,
but no buttons, icon or title. I've no idea

libvirtd for el7
Hi,
I see that for EL6 gwd already has pushed a libvirtd package with version 1.2.10[1].
I got request from VDSM development to provide libvirt >= 1.2.9 for EL7 for oVirt 3.6.
gwd, do you just rebuilt http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=594825 ?
I'm looking at http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=628689 may this work for you?

gtk-window-decorator - No window borders
Hi,
I have a strange problem with gtk-window-decorator. I've tried 0.3.6 &
the latest from git, but with either I don't get any window borders when
running gwd. I hope its not something simple I've missed but I've
searched around and not found anything. gwd never segfaults or even
displays any warnings or anything for that matter. It just doesn't draw
the borders. I've

Xen 4.4.1-rc1+ rebase
I've got a first cut of the rebase here:
git://github.com/gwd/sig-virt-xen out/update-4.4.1-rc1-ee81dda-RFC
To build it, you'll need to download the polarssl tarball:
http://xenbits.xen.org/xen-extfiles/polarssl-1.1.4-gpl.tgz
And you'll need a tarball based on (unfortunately) a private tree,
which you can find here:

Disabling user switching in CentOS 6
Installing CentOS 6 on a lab full of workstations, and I want to disable
fast user switching. With CentOS 5, I simply made sure that the
"user_switch_enabled" entry in
/etc/gconf/schemas/gnome-screensaver.schemas was set to false. However,
that doesn't work with CentOS 6.
I've found various proposed solutions to this issue, such as
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source

Tried out Beryl (Animation pugin)
Hi
I just tried out the new 0.1.0 release of beryl. Generally I do like the
compiz fdo version, because I like the gconf integration and the
metacity theme support in gwd. Also I think their configuration system
is a complete mess, this beryl settings manager is completly bloated in
my opinion.
Anyway, I noticed they have quite a lot of plugins. While I found most
of them nothing special, the

gconftool
I am using gconftool to set a number of parameters up automatically...
However, the one parameter I cannot find is under root
you should be able to set the "automatic login" on first boot up.
This found under "Applications", "System settings", "Login screen", then
automatic login.
Can someone point me to that setting?
THanks,
Jerry
