Fedora and direct rendering
Hello, I'm using Fedora 7 and I thought I should try nouveau. I couldn't get direct rendering to work. I found out that the Mesa package that ships with Fedora 7 doesn't include a DRI interface for the nouveau module. So I fetched the latest Mesa source from git, compiled with 'mke DRI_DIRS=nouveau linux-dri-x86' and copied the produced ./lib/nouveau_dri.so in the

[PATCH] Add GLX 1.3 + conformant GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap support
As promised awhile ago... This patch makes compiz conformant with the latest published version of the GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap specification. It has been tested to be fully backwards compatible as well, so it will still work with current versions of Xgl. If GLX 1.3 support isn't available, it just falls back to the existing use of XVisualInfo. However, my version of Xgl is a bit

AIGLX + r300 + compiz?
So I've spent the last few days getting Xorg pulled from freedesktop git and built. Everything seems to have worked, and I now have Xorg version 7.1.99.2 running, composite enabled, and AIGLX enabled. The Xorg log file shows: (WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x23 (WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x24 (WW) AIGLX: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x25

OpenGL issues with Counter Strike
Hello, I recently switched my OS to Ubuntu Dapper Drake amd64 (I used Breezy before) and now I'm facing strange issues regarding Counter Strike (old version, not "Source") via Steam. nouveau running 2D on a 9800GTX from git master
Finally got around to testing the git masters of xorg, mesa, drm and nouveau running together. The mesa gallium3d driver failed to build until I manually added dri2 to the GALLIUM_STATE_TRACKERS_DIRS line in the configs/autoconf file to force libdri2drm.a to build. I'm not encountering any issues from the testing I've done so far (except that glxgears just draws black). On startup I do
