Zoom plugin changes
I'm sorry for being rude, but I am quite upset by this, because it has
gone too far.
I posted a few weeks ago that I was going to be working on zoom over
the summer to improve the accessibility, and I have already begun to
do that. Every step of the way I have made frequent commits to
opencompositing.org and described the progress in my blog.
I asked for information about what your (David)

Locking Zoom, yet manipulating window?
I a rather dependent upon the Enhanched Zoom Desktop tool. It allows
me to zoom into a part of the screen and see it clearly, with the
zoomed part of the screen following the mouse. However, there are
times when I need the screen to remain where it is (not to pan with
the mouse), and the only way that I've found to do that is with the
"Toggle zoom area lock" option. When this option

Enhanced Zoom cursor in 0.7.6
Does Compiz-0.7.6 solve the problem with the 'waiting' cursor being
invisible when using the Enhanced Zoom plugin? I see mention of
'various bugfixes' but I couldn't find the appropriate bug to check
it's status. Thanks.

[PATCH] Zoom only on manual rotate option
This patch will add a new option (zoom_manual_only) in the rotate plugin
that (by default) will make it zoom only on mouse initiate (so no more
on d&d, window move and key-rotate)...

Patch for zoom with mixed resolutions
Hey, David, with the latest changes for output-specific zoom it wasn't focusing
properly for me with mixed resolutions. I think this patch corrects that.
(Oh, and on my previous comment I meant struts and not extents, if that was
confusing to anyone. It was to me when I re-read it, heh.)

Multihead related issues
First, there are two fundamentally diffrent types of doing multihead:
The "one big screen" solution, usually achieved with xinerama ,
twinview or similar. This provides us with one Screen, and therefor
one CompScreen structure. The output extens are retrieved from
xinerama, or possibly randr (in the future?), I would assume.
Then there is the less used "multiscreen" way, which

compiz/zoom question
Hello all,
I was wondering is it possible to add the input functionality to the
zoom plugin? Currently zoom plugin is one of my favorite ones, I can
open a terminal and still not increase font size but zoom on and READ
it...
... because I'm not able to input anything to it, please correct me if
I'm wrong; maybe it is already possible, but I still don't know how to
do that...

solving plugin dependency issues
The dependency checking currently provided is clearly not good enough.
There's currently two issues with the plugins that exist in the compiz
repository.
plane plugin conflicts with cube and rotate plugin, zoom plugin should
probably work with either cube or plane but currently only loads when
cube plugin is used.
Adding a
{ CompPluginRuleBefore, "cube" }
to the plane plugin and a

EZoom and system freeze
Hi
I used the enhanced zoom functionality quite often. However, recently I
have run into a somewhat annoying bug (I suppose it's a bug somewhere).
If I zoom out to the level of no zoom using the mouse wheel, my system
sort of hangs. I can move the pointer, but there's no interaction with
anything (i.e. the mouse pointer does not change) and my only option is
to turn of my laptop by

Composite/Zoom in compriz/xgl
First - I'm 24 hours into having xgl and compriz going. (very nice)
Second - I'm probably on the wrong list!
Is it possible to render (capture?) an image in compriz/xgl that's a higher
resolution than the screen output? The zoom plugin for compriz seems to use
the native res and then enlarge - at least by default...
Thanks,
Chris

8.2 behaving weird on openSuSE 10.3 & 11.0
Listmates,
I installed 8.2 on opensuse 10.3 from the opensuse XGL repository to replace
7.6. Compiz works with the nvidia 8600 GT card (512M of GDDR3) on the box, but
the ctrl+alt <- -> switching behavior is really bad.
In 7.6, the ctrl+alt <- -> desktop switching changed desktops crisply with
just the slightest hint of the cube detected during the very short and nice
switch.

If you have any choice in the matter I would suggest a read of
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoom_Video_Communications#Criticism before
using or installing Zoom.

Zoom....
Hi, folks,
Updated CentOS 7 the other day. Updated zoom last night. Ancient (15
yr old) USB camera, Logitech QuickCam Express.
If I run LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so cheese, I get
video. Zoom, with or without the LD_PRELOAD - no video. I've tried
stracing zoom, and created a file /etc/ld.so.preload, with the contents
of /usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so, and in

rgl: coordinating and saving viewpoints, zoom, scale for multiple images
Context: I have two or more rgl-based views of a given data set, perhaps
fitting different
models, or showing different things across views. I want to be able to
hand-rotate, zoom, scale
one view to something I like, and then show the other views with
matching viewpoints and scaling.
so that one could flip back/forth among graphs and see only the relevant
differences.
In 2D, all this usually

rgl/compiz problem
I have just encountered the problem with rgl where plot3d figures
don't interact with the mouse. My plots zoom in and out with the mouse
wheel but the mouse buttons do nothing. I can't rotate the plot.
This has been mentioned and discussed here and in other lists before,
and the solution is to turn off Ubuntu's fancy graphics. Back in
