compiz-scheme. Interactive prompt and example startup file.
Beyond the general work on compiz-scheme (new wrappings, hooks, code improvements, etc), I've added a few large new things: 1. Key bindings with modifiers. This lets you from any of your scheme files/interactive prompt bind an arbitrary key + modifier to an arbitrary scheme function. So you can define new Compiz behaviors and shortcuts on the fly. 2. An interactive prompt. This sets up a

Hi folks, For ubuntu specs and for a better desktop integration of compiz, I made some patchs and plugins. Compiz Fusion Release 0.5.2 is out!
Compiz Fusion Release 0.5.2 is out! This is the first development release of Compiz Fusion, the result of more than six months of work and polish. The first stable release, 0.6.0, will follow after the Compiz 0.6.0 release. Compiz Fusion is the result of a merge between the Compiz community plugin set "Compiz Extras" and the parts of the Beryl project that are independent of the

Better keybindings for move and resize
Hi, I'm attaching a patch that improves the keybindings for keyboard resize and move. In both cases, the action can now be cancelled by Esc, moving the window back to the position and size it had before the action was initiated. Furthermore, for the resize case, the keybindings now work more like metacity, in that when initiated, it starts with the cursor in the middle of the window. The

ubuntu packages patch
hi, For compiz ubuntu packages, I made some patchs to have a behavior of compiz nearer to metacity. All patch are made for compiz-0.3.6 and they are more hacks or draft than good fix, i hope they can help. http://gandalfn.club.fr/ubuntu/compiz-patch/90-fix-no-border-window-shadow.patch This patch fix white boxes instead of shadows for gnome-panel and other non-standard windows on AiGLX.

asterisk cli - vi keybindings ?
This might sound lika a "small" issu, but here it goes: I'm a long time unix user and my shell history usage and editing is configured to use vi keybindings; it's something that's already built into my fingers and using different bindings, like the arrow keys to fetch previous lines, really blows me !... :-( Is there any way to setup the asterisk cli to use such

Windows key works some times I boot, doesn't work others
Hi all, I run CentOS5.1 with all updates, and like to use metacity's keybindings (gconf-editor->/apps/metacity/global_keybindings and keybinding_commands) to set shortcut keys for xterm, nautilus, and the like, so <Mod4>x runs xterm and <Mod4>e runs nautilus, rather how Windows-XP keyboard shortcuts work. I always log on as 'neek', the only user other than

Can't Turn OFF compiz autostart since 0.7.4.x
Devs, compiz listmates: Why can't I turn off compiz autostart on openSuSE 10.3 i386? Compiz just decided to start automatically with KDE login ever since I upgraded to the first 0.7.4.x release from the openSuSE build service. I have tried to disable it by creating the file "disable-compiz" in ~/.config/compiz but compiz still starts at login. Even if I switch to kwin before

[ANNOUNCE] xkill 1.0.3
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 xkill is a utility for forcing the X server to close connections to clients. This program is very dangerous, but is useful for aborting programs that have displayed undesired windows on a user's screen. This minor maintenance release provides some hopefully very non-dangerous build configuration improvements and janitorial cleanups. Alan

Compiz Release Announcement - 0.8.10
Hi all, I finally got around to producing an 0.8.10 release. Here are the details, which are also posted on my blog <http://blog.northfield.ws>. It took a bit of setup and cook time but compiz 0.8.10 tarballs are ready now including addons-experimental plugin package. Anyone who has installed compiz before knows it can be confusing so here, I will focus on installing 0.8.10 using the

need info for X11 keybindings for CentOS7
Hello all-- It seems using ctrl-alt-F1 to exit from GUI back to MY OWN SESSION'S command line does not work for me. It does nothing. Is this something that needs to be explicitly enabled? I start GUI using "startx". Also, any info on what to use to get BACK to my X11 session. Discussions seem confusing on this point. Thanks for any help. -- "And in the end, only

updating the AUTHORS file
Hey everyone, I like to get the AUTHORS file updated before the next release. I suggest that we add the name and email of anyone who contributed some piece of code to compiz. For people who have contributed such a significant piece of code that it can be considered an algorithm or some functionality (e.g. Mirco's sky dome support in the cube plugin or S?ren's plane plugin), that should

More clear CCSM messages
Hello, Would it be possible to have someone knowledgeable about the inner working of Compiz to change the messages CCSM uses (which can be found here<http://gitweb.opencompositing.org/?p=compiz;a=blob;f=metadata/core.xml.in;h=8fa18ab503a4c245a6f77582706d29bbbb654cc5;hb=HEAD>) to be understandable to us not really technical people? One example would be the 'Sync To VBlank' option. I
