--skip-gl-yield
Beryl has a --skip-gl-yield ( I think now managed by --force-nvidia, dont really know though), that eases the use of beryl under heavy CPU load. Is this implemented in compiz? Cause compiz is _REALLY_ slow under heavy cpu use for me. Thanks, Joel -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Is anyone working on a GTK / SVG Window decoration plugin?
Hi! This is my first message to the list, but i've been following it pretty much since compiz started... I was wondering, is anyone working on window decoration plugins in any way? I think it would be a major step to atract users to compiz :) I'm pretty noob when it comes to programming so i was hoping for someone kind enough to do the job and become known for it ;) Best regards,

SaMBa permissions problem
Hi, I'm having a slight problem with samba permissions. Here goes my scenario: Red Hat Linux 8.0 with samba I got a samba share "public" Users can access the share and write there what they need, but if a user creates a directory, other users can't access it. How can I configure things so that everyone in the group accesses everything in the share?

gtk-window-decorator - unneeded MAX ()
Hi, it seems to me that line gtk-window-decorator.c:3324 could be written as "top_width = w;" as w will always me the maximum, due to line 3319. 3319 if (w < ICON_SPACE + d->button_width) 3320 return FALSE; 3321 3322 top_width = name_width + d->button_width + ICON_SPACE; 3323 if (w < top_width) 3324 top_width = MAX (ICON_SPACE +

Calculation of e^{z^2/2} for a normal deviate z
Dear Rui, Thanks for your quick reply -- this allows me to see the bottom of this. I was hoping we could have a handle of those p in genmoics such as 1e-300 or smaller.

Calculation of e^{z^2/2} for a normal deviate z
Hi Peter, Rui, Chrstophe and Gabriel, Thanks for your inputs -- the use of qnorm(., log=TRUE) is a good point in line with pnorm with which we devised log(p) as log(2) + pnorm(-abs(z), lower.tail = TRUE, log.p = TRUE) that could do really really well for large z compared to Rmpfr. Maybe I am asking too much since z <-20000 >

Hangup-handler on failed calls
Hello, I have a setup with asterisk 16.8.0, I'm facing a problem where calls that fail (CONGESTION) don't have filled in some extra fields we add to the CDRs in the database. We use cdr_adaptive_odbc with MySQL as backend. To simplify the scenario: [sub-hanguphandler] exten => s,1,Set(CDR(foo)=${bar}) same => n,Return() [default] exten => _X.,1,NoOp(New test call) same =>

Running Compiz in XGL
I have a Dell Inspiron with the ATI x1400 video card. In Ubuntu 7.04 I ran Compiz-Fusion in XGL with the fglrx drivers and the system was very responsive. I noticed no performance penalties at all. In Ubuntu 8.04 I am running Compiz natively with the current fglrx drivers, and the system is sluggish. Disabling Compiz makes the system very responsive. So I am interested in running Compiz in XGL

Problems in ezoom plugin
Hello list! I'm writing to you because I'm experiencing two problems with the Enhanced Zoom Desktop plugin. 1. If the mouse isn't over the current window, I can't zoom in/out. I filled a bug on launchpad: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1349152 But I don't know if that is the right place to be, because (as far as I know) Ubuntu developers aren't

Calculation of e^{z^2/2} for a normal deviate z
You may want to look into using the log option to qnorm e.g., in round figures: > log(1e-300) [1] -690.7755 > qnorm(-691, log=TRUE) [1] -37.05315 > exp(37^2/2) [1] 1.881797e+297 > exp(-37^2/2) [1] 5.314068e-298 Notice that floating point representation cuts out at 1e+/-308 or so. If you want to go outside that range, you may need explicit manipulation of the log values. qnorm()
