Is there any way to have doveadm NOT log using mail_log, but have the daemons do it? (or have doveadm's log go to syslogd)? amazon web services and CentOS
hi, Over the last few months, based on the fact that people were asking me about it, I was in turn asking Amazon what they are doing to make CentOS available on their EC2 platform. After much conversation to / from their end, they are in a situation where they have offered me some access and credits to make the whole CentOS on AWS happen. This is the sort of thing right up the VirtSIG

Has many / belongs to error with mysql
Hi, I''ve got stuck with a problem on my rails app - I''ve created a database for quotes and bookings, with a futher table "eventdetails" (details of a quote or booking) linked one-one for both tables using a polymorphic assciation. This all works, but I am now trying to link a quote to a number of bookings with a has_many and belongs_to (the foreign key is in the

SE Michigan asterisk users group
I am thinking of getting an asterisk user group together for either SE Michigan or just Metro-Detroit. How much interest in asterisk in Michigan is there on this list? I am already on the board of glimasoutheast, with is a group for technology professionals. (very broad range) It is a spin-off from Automation Alley, which is SE Michigan's version of Silicone Valley. -- Steven

Vista (pre-installed OEM editions) creating new files or folders on network shares
Hi, This post is to prevent other people that are having trouble with Vista clients from going down a blind alley investigating problems in their samba configurations. After some research I have found (see link below) that there is a general problem for pre-installed OEM editions of Vista Business (and possibly other vista versions) in creating files and folders on network shares. The problem

DataGrid (Table) using tables/Scriptaculous Sortable
Hey yall, I wanted to share some code I''ve been working on as it seems up the alley of folks on this list. It''s not rails, per se, but one day... DataGrid: http://development.finetooth.com/?p=6 This also showcases the option.delay perameter I''ve submitted into scriptaculous - hold down your mouse for one second on any column other than Vendor and then drag away ;) The

Re: Need AMD debugging help
Great call, Jason. The trouble may also be from overclocking their CPU's. We ran into some similar bug reports in the Furthur project with people swearing up and down that random application hangs and glitches was our software (which in part it was). However, as soon as they brought their CPU's and video cards back to spec, their problems magically went away. I would follow this one up

[LLVMdev] [RFC] July Update: Progress report on CMake build system's ability to replace autoconf
Hi Chris, Looking forward to continued support for CMake! Along that note, I wanted to add one bug to your list of things to track, which to me seems up your alley but maybe was filed in the wrong bucket (or is actually someone else's problem). Bug 24154 - CMake shared files are broken in llvm-3.7-dev Cheers, Brenden On Wed, Jul 29, 2015 at 1:20 PM Chris Bieneman <beanz at

adjusting survival using coxph
I have what I *think* should be a simple problem in R, and hope someone might be able to help me. I'm working with cancer survival data, and would like to calculate adjusted survival figures based on the age of the patient and the tumour classification. A friendly statistician told me I should use Cox proportional hazards to do this, and I've made some progress with using the

some win2K machines get "incorrect username/password" error
A recent update was made to our "standard image" for new computers. It is for win2K. These new computers cannot connect to a Samba 3 server running a simple smb.conf. (Just for the sake of full disclosure, the same exact symptom is happening also with an old appleshare ip server offering SMB) The slightly older win2K machines have no problem connecting. I've been around a little

Continual Problems with "File system does not support long filenames"
When trying to create a file or folder on a samba 3.0.28-0.el4.9 share from a Windows 2003 R2 server, I continually receive an error message stating that the target filesystem does not support long filenames. I have another samba 3.0.28-0.el4.9 server where this does not happen. What causes this? Here's the smb.conf from the "bad" server. It's pretty much the same as the

Chronic Problems with "File system does not support long filenames"
When trying to create a file or folder on a samba share (3.0.28-0.el4.9) from a Windows 2003 R2 server, I occasionally receive an error message stating that the target filesystem does not support long filenames. This happens even if object name follows 8.3 naming conventions. It does not *always* happen. Also, I have another samba 3.0.28-0.el4.9 server where this does not happen at all. What
