Mongrel not starting: `initialize_without_backlog'': Cannot assign requested address - bind(2) (Errno::EADDRNOTAVAIL)
Hi I have a rather strange problem with mongrel and I would be grateful if anyone could assist me with resolving. I have an application running mongrel 1.1.1 and rails 1.2.5 with ruby 1.8.6. It was all working fine and starting as expected. But I did a server reboot once and mongrel has refused to start up since. I get the following error:

[using mongrel-0.3.13.4 pre-release, OX 10.4.7] I have a slightly annoying issue under OS X: If i terminate the session that ran the mongrel process (by closing terminal window -- hey, it happens!), subsequent attempts to start mongrel give me the following error: /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-0.3.13.4/lib/mongrel/ tcphack.rb:12:in `initialize_without_backlog'':

Starting using LaunchDaemons
I've figured this one out... Just wanted to get it into the dovecot mailing list archive so that somebody in the future might find it if they need it. Running Dovecot on Mac OS X 10.4.11 and using LaunchDaemon to start. Following a system crash, dovecot failed to restart with this in the system log... Problem when using bundle exec rake with Launchd
Dear all, I am developing a web harvesting server which requires regularly website parsing. Since I use Mac 10.8 as my development environment, I try to use Launchd to routinely wake up my parser. My parser was a bash script which has only two lines: 1. cd $HOME/ProjectFolder 2. bundle exec rake dailyTask:dataParse When directly execute the script under Terminal, there is no problem.
