USB device not connected (CentOS 5.3)
I just tried this with CentOS 5.3 as well, and got exactly the same
symptoms and dmesg output. (As a point of comparison, Ubunu 8.04 on
my work laptop is able to access the drive.)
Obviously "not detected" is a misapprehension, though I'm puzzled why
"lsusb" doesn't show it. The device is there even though the
partition table can't be read.

Re: Upgrade install using CentOS-3.1 ISO images (Bart Schaefer)
Be curious myself as to what info you come up with on the "upgrade via ISO"
and "SATA" support questions you posed.
Hopefully someone on the list will help you out with a reply to the list.

ADIT 600 & CMG <=> Asterisk question
I've searched but can't find an answer as to how many MGCP paths can a
single ADIT/CMG card support? It appears it's only 24 ports, maybe 48.
What I'd like to do is install 6 Telco T1's into a single (or more) Adit
600 and route inbound calls towards asterisk. Can I have more than one
CMG in a single chassis?
Or maybe you know of a better way to connect T1's to

Channels in use?
I'm using version 1.2 and need a method to detect the number of channels
in use
from inside the dial plan. I'd like to count total channels
system-wide, but even better
if I can determine for a selected extension also. I've searched the
wiki, and don't see such
a function that does this.
Any ideas?

Networking issue (after latest 5.1 update?)
I'm not *entirely* sure but this began happening at about the time I
installed the latest kernel updates for CentOS 5.1
(kernel-2.6.18-53.1.6.el5.i686.rpm from January 24). Shortly before
that I changed the encryption on my wireless router and switched from
ndiswrapper back to the standard bcm43xx driver, but I'm pretty sure
the network was OK before that update for the simple reason that

Which cause less CPU usage: GSM or wav??
I have 4 TDM T1's going in to a IVR system. The IVR messages are
recorded .wav format - The system appears to crap out at about 40 calls
- Would using GSM or some other format help save CPU cycles?
Using 1.2, Dual Xeon and 2GB ram
TIA

CentOS 5 and Broadcom wireless
I've got CentOS 5 installed on my hp pavilion ze 5300 laptop and the
network configuration UI says my wireless NIC has been correctly
identified and assigned what appears to be the right Broadcom device
driver on eth1. However, the inteface doesn't come up.
Google doesn't find anything recent about using Linux with Broadcom
except for someone's passing remark that Ubuntu 7 beta

Your certificate is apparently valid for longer than 39 months.
Running your error message "NET::ERR_CERT_VALIDITY_TOO_LONG" through google returns pages and pages of information explaining this issue.

Firefox3 for CentOS4 -- dependency on evolution28 packages?
I'd been putting off installing the FX3 packages because of some
extensions I use that don't have upgrades. [*] However, when FX1.5
crashed on me today I decided to finally go ahead. Fired up yum and
I'm told I have to install a slew of evolution28 library packages in
order to install the firefox package. Why? I removed evolution from
my system for a reason, and I'd just as

Solution to my Grandstream lockups
Like many others on this list, I had been experiencing periodic
lockups with my Grandstream products (Handytone 286 ATA & BudgeTone
101). The lockups consisted of seemingly dead devices, no dialtone or
response, until I power cycled via software or hardware. The
workaround had been to reboot the device every 30 minutes with a cron
job. I contacted Grandstream and although they didn't

CentOS5 + lighttpd (EPEL) - fix Chrome security warning?
Apologies if I should ask this elsewhere, google search is not helping.
I've got a CentOS5 server with lighttpd installed from EPEL,
configured for https only (no connections on ports other than 443). I
have the latest security updates for openssl, etc. However, when
connecting to the server with recent Chrome from Windows or Android, I
get the "Your connection is not private"

Recent CentOS4 kernel updates and CentOS Plus
If it wouldn't be too much trouble ... when a kernel security update
notice is posted to the announcements list, would it be possible to
indicate whether the centosplus kernel is also susceptible to the
security issue being patched?
I'm running the plus kernel now, and find myself wondering whether I
will ever need to back off to the base kernel because of security
issues.
Or is it
